~ Reader-Chan's dream ~

I woke, lying in a room I could not see, a thumping pain in my skull. It's dark. Why can't I see? I swear I'm awake, I have to be. This pain, it's excruciating. I stood, unaware of my surroundings as I couldn't see anything. The room was pitch black and freezing. Wh-Where am I? Dad? Shelby? Tray? I tried to form words, but the thoughts merely echoed in my mind. I'm scared. Someone help me!

A faint light began to appear far off, seamingly down a hallway. Instinctively, I went toward it. The hallway began to lighten. But the pain from earlier? I felt like I could die right then and there.

It started in my head, a migraine so painful it felt my head was splitting open. Now I could swear my skull was cracking and something was stabbing my brain repeatedly with a knife of some sorts. I fell to my knees and clutched my head.

"The light isn't how you'll make it in this world." An all too familiar voice whispered. "Y/N, please. The safest thing is to go back into darkness. My daughter, the demons of this world will protect you when angels threaten to burn you down" Dad...

I had to listen to him. Dad always knew what to do. I turned arounf and crawled back to the dark end of the hallway. It welcomed me with open arms. A sudden calm washed over me, and I knew my time in this world would be short...

I sat up with a sudden jolt, gasping for breath. I could barely see, this meant the sun was just rising or the moon just setting. The pain I felt in my dream was there and I grabbed my head. Tears began forming and threatened to fall. I took a deep breath and the tears retreated back to where they came from.

"Y/N? Is there a problem?" I looked up to see a worried Sebastian.

"Nothing at all." I instinctively replied. "Just a nightmare, it's a common thing for me."

"Well, it is about time to start getting up. Your uniform is laying on your dresser and your suitcase is next to the door. Come to my room once you've finished. We'll go see the young lord together." Sebastian explained, pointing things out when he spoke of them.

It was a lot of information to handle after my nightmare, but I nodded in acknowledgement. He excused himself, and I heard him go to his room just across the hall.

Before even thinking about getting up, I thought over my nightmare. This one was much different than any I've ever experienced. Those usually don't have me feel any pain and certainly never have my dad's voice in them.

He told me to stick with the demon. The demon must be Sebastian.  The angels he reffered to have to be Ash and Angela, the main antagonists of season one. Everything made sense except the actual pain I felt. Either I hit my head hella hard or someone was messing with me.

Regardless, I had to job to do. This involved getting off my lazy ass and preparing for the day. With a groan, I stood. I grabbed my suitcase, which was next to the door, and the uniform that sat on top of the dresser.

I began undressing and noticed all the bruises lining my ribcage. Hell, I'm surprised none of them feel broken. I began, with extreme caution, putting on the uniform. It looked exactly as Mey-Rin's, from what I remember.

It didn't come with the headband she wears, but it did come with a pair of black lace-up boots and white socks what came up to the knee

It didn't come with the headband she wears, but it did come with a pair of black lace-up boots and white socks what came up to the knee. They had frilly lace at the top. It made me feel fancy.

Once it was all on I took a few steps back and looked in the mirror. With the room lit with a warm, orange and red glow, I saw myself. It just didn't feel like me. The only time I'd ever imagine myself in a get-up like this would be for cosplay.

"Wow. You look like a Phantomhive servant already. Too bad Trancy couldn't convince you to stay." A voice said from behind me.

I whirled around to see Clara sitting on my window seal. "Clara? What are you doing here, it could be dangerous."

"The only dangerous thing I'm doing is intruding on another demon's territory, but everyone knows I don't give a damn about rules like my older brother or younger sister." She giggled.

"I suppose so, Clara. But Y/N was right, being here is dangerous. What is Araneae were to find you here?"

I turned to my right and see Sebastian standing just in front of a closed door. Did he open it? I sure didn't hear it open...

"Oh, Mathuls, you know he doesn't have the control over me that he once did." Clara growled, standing defiantly.

"Uh..." I managed. "What are you two-"

"My apologies, I must be going. It seems I've trespassed and both of you need to get going. Remember, Y/N, I'm here whenever you need me." Clara pointed to my head when she spoke her last sentence. She then jumped out of the, somehow, opened window.

"What just happened?" I said, mainly to myself.

"Let's get going." Sebastian told me, and we both left the room.

"You two seem to have a past." I began, knowing I'd already crossed the line talking about it.

"Y/N, this isn't the time for Clara's story. Plus, it's better heard from her side." He spoke with such a calm tone it kind of scared me. I nodded and we walked in silence.
