Over My Dead Body

Liam's POV

Sometimes we feel like our worlds come crashing down for silly things. Because you didn't get the bigger room, or you can't buy tickets to your favorite band's concert.

I'll tell you what's that being. It's being ungrateful. There are people out there with no house at all, and you are complaining about having a small room. There are people out there starving, and you complain about not liking the dinner. There are people out there dying and fighting to stay alive, and you are trying to kill yourself.

Most of the times we are being ungrateful little brats, but my world did come crashing down when Paige passed out.

It turns out that she suffered from heart failure. Right now she is hooked up to a million different machines that are keeping her alive whilst she's on the national waiting list for heart transplant.

The chances of her surviving such a strong operation are slim, taking into account that her body is still frail.

Don't say something like 'here comes the abuse card'. No. You don't mentally or physically recover from 11 years of sexual and physical abuse in less than a year. Her body suffered a lot of damage, and her mind suffered from trauma causing her growth to stop. Now it's not stopped, but it's slow.

Her heart failed from years of enduring abusive behavior. So, let's all give a round of applause to Paige's diseased father who still manages to screw up her life from down there. From hell.

Now there is some dumb fuck trying to tell me he is Paige's brother and he is asking for full custody.

"We have full custody" Louis snarls looking quite angry.

"I will take this to court if necessary" He glares at us, trying to seem intimidating. Not working big guy, sorry to disappoint you.

"I'd like to state that you would most likely not win the case mate, you would have been the follow up legal guardian, but since you weren't in the records by law there had to be something preventing you from parenting. Social services would also be included, and she would live a better life with-" Zayn starts sounding all genius kick ass, until the ass hole interrupts him.

"With me"

"How?" Niall gapes at him.

"She has a chance of a normal life" Drew- his name- responds in a 'duh' tone.

"We are not discussing that right now. What can we do about Paige?" Harry looks at all of us in bewilderment. He's got every reason to, we should be discussing how we are going to help Paige. Not who's going to keep her, considering that 1. she's not a rag doll 2. We don't know what's going to happen with her.
