When the City & The Country Collide ~

Prologue ~

Hiccup's P.O.V ~
I sighed as my alarm went off. I groaned softly as I got out of bed. I put on my sneakers and a loose t-shirt before going out for a run. And by run, I mean a few laps around the house. I got back inside just as my mom came out of her room. "Morning, mum," I said, kissing her cheek. She smiled,"Morning, Hiccup. Have a nice run?" I nodded as I went into the fridge and grabbed my large water bottle. I jugged about half of it down as my mom started making breakfast. "So what's your agenda for today?" She asked me.

"Get some songs written down and then probably go to Merida's before going to the ranch." She nodded. "Be sure you have breakfast before you go to Merida's," She said. I nodded and jogged upstairs to shower and change.

After my shower and I had gotten changed, I went into my studio and looked over my songs. I typed up a few more songs into my computer. I smiled as I pulled up one of my recent songs: 'Country Man'.

'You need hands, rough not soft.
To come and warm you up, up in that cold hayloft.

Can't get these kinda muscles anywhere but a farm.

I smiled as the song ended. In a way, I sometimes found it awkward to listen to myself once I recorded a song but it made me see that my music was making a difference for others. And that's what I loved about being who I was.

After a bit, I went downstairs to grab something to eat. Afterwards I cleaned my dishes and then grabbed my keys and wallet.

Little did I know that I was gonna fall in love at Merida's. Little did I know that I was gonna meet the boy that was gonna give me another reason to make music.

Jack's P.O.V ~

I smiled as my plane landed. I had my dad waiting with a rental car outside. He smiled and helped me with my bags before opening the door for me and I slipped into the passenger seat. "So, how was flight, Jack?" He asked me in his normal Russian accent once he got in and we started driving.

I smiled,"It was alright. The flight attendants were really nice and there were no major problems." He nodded as we drove away from the airport. I smiled as I saw the Tennessee countryside. I was sure to get more subscribers here.

What did I mean by subscribers? I'm known as 'Jack Frost1817' on YouTube and recently I had reached 1 million subscribers on my channel. I was advised by my cousin, Aster, that if I wanted more followers on my channel, I had to win over country sweethearts. And what better place to start, then Nashville Tennessee?

Little did I know that I was gonna fall in love during my time here. And little did I know, I was gonna fall in love with the King of Country Music himself. Little did I know...

That the city & the country....

AN: Alright! Now this is something I like! A few months ago, Andi_Winters and I were role playing a HiJack Country Singer & YouTuber AU. And now it's finally being turned into a book. Hope you all enjoyed and liked this prologue chapter.

Anyway. I'll have the next chapter up by either tomorrow or later today. Hopefully later today. That is if I don't get caught up with my English homework. But whatever. I'll try to have the next chapter up as soon as I can. So, please be patient with me, alright?
