Listening to Kamchatka from Halo 5: Guardians Original Soundtrack
The Trost District
It was in the evening. The sky was splashed in oranges, yellows, and purples.
The streets were busy and loud as people moseyed by and marketers were shouting their newest sales.
A mother and her daughter sat on the comfy seats of the newly invented hanging monorail. Despite being slightly swaying, it was a good means of transportation between walls.
"Mommy?" The little girl said.
"Yes dear?" the woman responded.
"Can I be like her?" the daughter asked.
Everyone looked out the windows to see to whom the girl was referring.
There was a blonde grown woman, bearing the trademark 3DMG gear, zooming past the hanging transport. Everyone began to cheer upon seeing the Wings of Freedom on her back.
Annie had changed considerably in the the past five years, both physically and mentally. She changed her hairstyle. She kept the bun, but it was cleaner and her bangs were styled to her right and pulled back into her bun, with one or two hanging over her right eye. Annie had gotten a tattoo on her left collar bone; it was the Japanese kanji symbol for hope, or kibō. She had gotten taller but was still shorter than Armin. She wore a dark brown leather jacket and kept the same white hoodie she always had. For a soon to be revealed reason, she always had medical tape wrapped around her left hand and forearm ( she wrapped her fingers individually so she could still use them ). She had leather gloves over her hands to fend from the cold.
To continue as she sped past buildings of higher structure and cheering citizens, she couldn't stop thinking about how Eren, Mikasa, and Armin were doing. She had grown close to them as friends. She smirked at the thought, being friends with these people, these very broken and volatile people.
Well, it's nice to have someone that actually cares about me, she thought in her head, okay focus, just meet up with them at the district gate.
She began to scale the wall at top speed. The wind whistling in her ears. She flew up and landed on her feet in front of the three friends.
Eren had quite some improvement over his own perspective. Not only was he less angry, he now had the idea that just because he wants something doesn't mean everyone else had to pay for it. He also matured physically. He kept his original hairstyle (but it was slightly longer), only now he had thin facial hair on the top of his lip and at the bottom going under his chin. He still had his strong emerald eyes that could bore deep into a person's soul. Eren had gotten a Japanese kanji tattoo as well; his was titan, or kyojin; it was placed on the left side of his neck, right next to his throat. He wore a dark grey hoodie, with holes in the sleeves where he slid his thumbs through, and a black leather jacket, with white and blue feather symbols painted on the sleeves, and still bore the Scout symbol on his back, with black jeans. He also wore black, leather gloves on his hands.
Mikasa was a sight to behold. She had become more beautiful than any other girl within the walls; it was to the point where she couldn't go outside without guys hitting on her every two seconds. She grew her hair out but had the left side pulled back into a really messy but short ponytail. She now had two scars on the far left side of her left eye to accompany the one on her right cheek. She wore a black leather jacket with a dark grey jogging sweater underneath. She got a kanji tattoo also; her's was warrior, or bushi; it was located on the far right side of her right abdomen. And she still wore the same filthy red scarf.
She really needs to wash that thing, Annie thought.
However, this did not hide the fact that her right hand had been replaced with a prototype prosthetic one, which had individual moving fingers (which was missing the pinky), that Armin had recently made. The finger tips were painted maroon red and the rest of the hand was dark grey. So far, there were no negative side effects.
Speaking of Armin, he changed the most. He got rid of his bowl haircut. He now had shorter hair (but was still long enough to cover the tips of his ears) and was combed over to his left, covering his left eyebrow. Armin now had a couple small scars; one across the bridge of his nose and the other on his right cheek. He grew thin facial hair that basically matched Eren's. Armin got a kanji tattoo too; his was intelligence, or chinō; his was placed on his left abdomen. He wore his green poncho with a dark grey vest and a white button-down shirt underneath.
"Are we set?" Eren asked the other three.
They all nodded.
"Good," he said, "Now to remind you, this is a simple ordinance. We are attempting to thin the Titan herd. All we need to do is kill three to five and they will close the gate to prevent anymore from entering. Are we clear?"
"Yes sir," the three responded.
"Fantastic," Eren said in a joking manner as he pulled out a flare gun and fired it upwards, leaving behind a trail of green smoke.
Listening to Meridian Crossing from Halo 5: Guardians
The gate rumbled as it opened. Four Titans stumbled in to satisfy their bloodlust. Citizens quickly ran into their homes in an orderly fashion, none of them screaming in fear. The Titans varied in their sizes. One stood at eighteen meters, the second and third at thirteen meters, and the fourth at ten meters. The eighteen, one thirteen, and the ten meters had the average creepy smile plastered over their faces. As the giants began to search for their prey, the gates to the wall started to shut.
The group was about to jump down when suddenly, the Armored Titan ripped through the others and broke the walls closing mechanism.
"Breach!" Eren shouted as loud as he could as he popped another flare, leaving red smoke, "All squads on full combat status! Olympus status!"
The Military Police patrolling the streets either saw the smoke or heard the crash and began evacuating the citizens quickly. Those that were close enough to the Armored Titan tried taking a shot at him or got squashed in the process.
As this was happening, more Titans rushed through the broken wall.
"How the hell did Reiner get out of prison?" Armin asked with worry in his voice, "He should still be in the strongest structures we have. He can't escape because I designed the cell specifically for him!"
"I don't know how and I don't care," Annie said, "Armin, Mikasa, you help evacuate the citizens. I'll take on Reiner."
"I'll help you," Eren said as he raised his hand to his mouth.
"No," Annie hissed at him, "You help evacuate, besides, my crystal is the only thing that's hard enough to break his armor hide. Plus, Reiner and I have a score to settle."
"I hope you know what you're doing," Armin said to her before leaping off with Eren and Mikasa.
So do I, she thought.
