Beautiful Eyes - Riren [MAJOR EDITING]

Loud alarms sounded off waking everyone who was still in a blissful slumber. The blaring sound echoed through the empty streets reaching each house made with wood or concrete. A hand reached up from underneath the brown blanket to pull it down from his head so he could hear what was happening. His chocolate brown hair was strewn in every direction as he rubbed tiredly at his eyes.  His mom had hurriedly rushed in the room, her hair not even put into the side ponytail that it usually was which dripped onto her shoulder. Warm, caramel eyes met his own caramel and teal eyes with a look of assurance. 

"Just go back to sleep." She spoke. Her voice laced with comfort but a certain tinge in her tone made it sound full of worry and dread. She pushed Mikasa, Eren's adopted sister, into the room. Black hair cascaded down her back with the red scarf that Eren gave her so long ago wrapped around her neck and mouth. Her eyes held no emotion as their mom left locking the door behind her. The atmosphere of the room was tense with the loud blaring of alarms and distant sounds of doors being locked every which way. Eren decided to speak first, 

"I have a feeling mom's lying to us," he swallowed a lump in his throat, "I don't think it's going to be okay."
