Storage Room

We catch out breaths after Owen slams the doors of the storage room shut. The large wines of the dinosaur on the other end of the door can be heard as it finally gives up trying to fit through the cave entrance.  I sit on a couple of boxes stacked by the large desk in the middle of the room trying to calm myself down as I watch Owen comfort Claire who seems to find breathing very hard at the moment due to stress and panic. Zach catches my eye then as he stands in front of my view. "Are you alright?" He asks as he kneels in front of me putting his hands on my knees. I smile as I'm still trying to catch my breath and nod to confirm I'm alright. He sits by me then on the boxes comfortable in our silence. Gray is first to speak among us. "So..what now?" He asks the room as he gets up from his position of the floor where he and sprawled out to catch his breath. "I say we start looking around, find anything useful in here. It is a storage unit after all, so hopefully the guards left some stuff behind" Owen pipes up as he walks towards large crates in the corner of the room. "Whatever you find put on the middle table. We will need to get ourselves prepared for getting to main electricity room and then the lockdown room on foot" he explains pulling out  some food packets and helmets he found in one of the crates. We all start helping then finding all sorts of useful and non-useful  items. I manage to notice a box in the far back and rip open the lid surprised to find it containing a ton load  guns, and stun guns. "YES!" I say as I pull one of the guns out. "Owen! Look what I've found! There is loads in here, bullets and everything" I smile showing everyone the gun. "Good job Anna" Owen says as he puts my back and lifts the large crate with Zachs help to the middle of the room. "Now that we have weapons, we are more equipped to go out there again" he starts "the car will most likely be long gone and undeliverable guys so we will have to do this on foot. Main thing to do is stick together, nobody go off alone if anything happens" he stressed to us as we all get geared up. I end up wearing a helmet Zach found in one of the containers and armed myself with a large stun gun. Zach, Gray and Claire looked the same but Zach went for the real gun. Owen thought it would be best to take the 2 real guns we found but also the stuns as they would be more helpful than nothing. Owen armed himself with the real gun and pulled out the map again. "Okay guys, we are about a 20 minute walk to the electrical room" if we stay on the west side, it's further from the meat eaters and near the water edge so good for cover of anything happens - get ready to leave. We go in 5" he says as he reacts himself and helps to show Claire how to properly hold up the gun. "Gray it's going to be okay, we will stick together" I say to the boy hugging my side. He just nods letting go walking to stand with Owen, who ordered him to stay right by his side. Myself and Zach took up the back, Zach due to having the real gun stayed at the back of the group, Owen at the front. Owen opened the door of the storage room and headed out to make sure it was all clear. During that 5 minutes he was our searching the area my heart was in my stomach. The thought of loosing my brother was awful. I could see Zach re adjusting the guns harness around his shoulder out of nerves. "It's going to be okay, we will make it thought this" I said turning to him. He smiled as he said "I know, I just don't know what I'll do if something happens to Gray.. Or you" he finishes. My heart jumps when he adds "or you" and I lean in and give him a kiss on the cheek to assure him nothing is going to happen to me. Owen runs back through the door right after announcing its time to head out. So we do. One by one following after Owen into the large feeding crowd.
