Chapter 16

We got in the van and I sat in the back next to Glenn and across from Noah, Tara, and Eugene. Tara started to say something about Noah's story when loud music started and he just shrugged his shoulders and we all laughed.

We go to the building and all got out of the van we looked around and quickly got into the building. We searched for the things we needed and tried to do it fast. I heard someone yell and then a big boom went off I hit my head on the ground and everything went black.

I felt someone or something shaking me I opened my eyes to see Glenn. "Good your awake, come on we have to go." He said quickly and nervously I then started to see everything all of the walkers I took out my knife and killed any of them that got close to me or Glenn we found Noah and Nicholas and we ran from the herd of walkers. We ran into the spiny doors that are at a lot of hotels, me Glenn and Noah all smashed in one of the openings and Nicholas in another. We couldn't move or Nicholas would become apart of the herd and he couldn't move or the same would happen to us. Glenn tried to keep us all calm as he tried to figure out a plan, I noticed Nicholas starting to freak out before I could say anything he pushed to get to the outside. Glenn and Noah pushed towards the outside as well them making sure I was at the front I fell and so did Noah we were both trying to get back in the doors and Glenn grabbed one of our hands. "Don't let go." Noah said looking at Glenn and u tried to make it so Glenn would let go of me and save Noah I tried to pry his hand off when Noah got pulled into the herd and Glenn pulled me in and closed the door quickly. I sat my back against the glass and I cried Noah popped up and then got teared apart by the monsters, I cried harder.

I sat in the back of the van reading the words in Noah's notebook "this is the beginning." over and over again. I put the book down and crossed my arms I was mad, I was mad that Glenn chose me over Noah and I was mad that Nicholas did that, and I was mad Noah died. We got through the gates of Alexandria and I started to help lifting Tara out of the van when I saw everyone had her I let go, I walked over to the bench I sat with Noah just a couple days ago and I looked at the water. I sat there alone for awhile until someone sat by me I looked at the shoes and knew it was Daryl instantly "he's gone, he's dead. Noah is dead." I said starting to cry "he was just a kid and he's dead. I should have been the one that was dead by him." Daryl put his arm around me and I put my face in his chest crying even harder.
