Beep. Beep. Boop. Bop.

"Phone shut up!" I keep thinking.

Ring, ring, ring. Footsteps. Stomping footsteps. Angry footsteps. Help!

"He's coming. He will see what I'm doing, he can't see this!" I think.

I can hear him cursing and screaming. He's drinking more than usual. Worse for me. Help!

An officer answers the phone.

"911 what's your emergency?" the officer asks.

"Help! Help! Help!" I try to scream through the cloth tied around my mouth.

Footsteps. Faster footsteps. Running footsteps. Cursing, yelling, pounding. Help!

"Help! Help! Help! Help! Help! Help me!" I scream, but it's muffled.

"Hello?" the officer asks, "Is anyone there?"

I hear the lock click open. I try to hang up the phone, but it falls. My wrists burns as the rope rubs against them. Help!

"Mr.? Ms.? Hello?" the officer says through the phone.

I watch as the door knob twists, slowly but not slowly enough for me. I try to wiggle myself as much as I can, so that my foot can hang up on the police. He can't know what I'm doing. He will kill me. Help!

"If this is a prank, you can be sure as hell there will be consequences!" the officer said angrily.

"Help! Help! Help! HELP! HELP! HELP!" I keep trying to scream, but the officer can't hear me.

No one can hear me, no one can find me. I watch as the door knob starts to turn. It turns faster, but I hear him lose his grip and stumble. He's coming back again. Help!

"You little bitch! I'm gonna kill you. How did you get that phone?" he screams.

The door is still closed. Maybe he is so drunk he can't open the door. Maybe I have time to wiggle just enough to the hang up the phone. Help!

"You better not be on the phone with the police. You little shit. I'm gonna kill you. Mark my words I'm gonna kill you!" he slurs.

"Hello, is anyone there?" the police officer asks.

"Fuck you, I'm gonna beat the shit out of you when I open this door," he's slurring so much that it's hard to understand.

He may be able to plan and conduct a kidnapping, but he sure is a dumbass leaving his phone right next to me where I can reach it, even with my hands in rope. I pray to g-d that the officer will hear him screaming and figure out what's going on. Everything is coming back to me. Memories from that night are flowing through my mind.

"Can you help me set up this GPS to take me home?" he asks me.

I said yes. Why? I don't want these memories. I just want help!

I lean into his car and tell him what to press. He asks me to do it for him. My body is in the car, the door is closed. My mouth duct taped, and my hands roped together. I look out and see my friends.

I just went to the movies with my friends. How could this happen? I'm only fourteen dammit!

I smell the burnt rubber as he skids away. I want the police to find us, and chase him, and help me. I know my friends are calling 911. I know it. I sure hope it. I just want to get out of here! I just want to go home to my family! The tears stream down my face as the car skids into the darkness.

"Hello? I need you to state your name and address so that we can send help right away. You are calling from a mobile phone not a landline, so it will take longer. You need to speak, now!" the officer sounds angry. Who wouldn't be angry?

I need to get out of here! Help!

"Little girl, hang that phone up now!" he screams.

"Help! Help! Help! Help me! Please!" I lean towards the phone and scream as loud as possibly I can.

"I'm sorry did you say something? I need your address now!" the officer says.

"Help me! Help me! Help me! Kidnapped! Help! Kidnapped!" I scream as loud as I can through the gag around my mouth.

The officer heard me, but time is ticking. He's coming. The door knob is twisting faster. Help! Help me now!

"We are sending help to your town. I need an address!" the officer knows something is wrong.

"I! Don't! Know! Where! I! Am! Help!" I yell.

I'm losing my breath from trying to yell through the duct tape and gag . Tears are streaming down my face. I don't know where I am. I only know I'm in a small house. What color is it? What street is it on? Where am I? Help!

"Where are you? What is your address?" the officer keeps asking.

It's not my address. It's his. It's not mine! My address is 37 Green street. That's not where I am. Help!

"I! Don't! Know! Where! I am!" I scream with all my might.

I watch the doorknob twist. He's twisting it the wrong way. Thank goodness. It's coming back the other way. The right way. Help!

"Little girl, I'm about to open this damn door. You better watch out," he yells.

The door opens. It opens, but only a smidge. Nope, it's opening more. Help me now!

"Help! Help! Help!" I cry.

I squirm and wiggle until finally, I can touch the phone with my foot. I hit the mute button. The officer can hear me, I can't hear him. I hear the sirens start to creep closer. They found the street. The door is almost all the way open. Now, it's open. He's inside! Help!

"Hello, I see you. You can't hide from me now!" he teases.

His annoying dog barks. He's so angry. He looks out the window at the dog. He moves to the window. Not closer to me. Finally!

"You little whiny bitch! Shut your mouth!" he screams at the dog.

Sometimes I pity that dog. I mean, it has to listen to him scream all the time. In fact, I feel bad for that dog. It has to live with him. I don't know how it's still alive. I don't know how I'm still alive. I won't be for long. He's gonna kill me this time, I know it. Right now, I just have cuts and scratches everywhere, and burns and bruises from when he hurt me. From when he hit me. From when he burned me. When he cut me. I need to get out! I need to get out now! Help!

"You fuckin' dog. Shut up!" he's so pissed at that dog.

I hear car doors of police cars slam right outside. The police are here. How will they know which house to come to? How will they know which room to go in? Help!

"You sit outside, and whine, and bark, and crap everywhere," he yells at the dog.

I watch him as he looks up and freezes. The police know. They know I'm here. They know where he is.

"Shit," I hear him whisper.

They are here now. I can breathe now. I'm okay now. I am safe now.
