I love sitting out in the forest. There just is something peaceful about being in the forest at night under the moon and the stars. It's even better hearing the wolves howl. I have a special area in the forest that I love to go. It seems to be where I can hear the wolves best, It's a little clearing that is surrounded by trees but oddly never seems to have a leaf touch the ground in the area. It makes me feel like its my own little world. Right now I'm laying down, listening to the beautiful sounds the wolves are making, I don't know if it's just my ears but everyday they sound like they are getting closer. Really close. I have my eyes closed when all of a sudden the howls stop, except for a couple in the distance, and i start to have that feeling like someone is watching me. I open my eyes and see a dozen wolves surrounding me. I lust look at them and then look at the trees above. Yea I know I probably should be scared, worried, going out of my mind insane, and trying to think of a way to get away but... lets face it, if you surrounded by wolves you have no chance of getting away so you might as well hope that they aren't mad and wont try to kill you, so i see no point in waisting unneeded emotions. I looked at them again and saw two white, three black, five brown, one black and white, and one grey. Four of the brown wolves looked to be older and so did the black and one of the whites. As i noticed this, the older wolves started to come closer, growling and showing their large sharp teeth. I watched as they got lower to the ground getting ready to pounce, I closed my eyes and braced myself for the impact of the wolf and the pain of their teeth and claws but nothing came. I opened my eyes when i heard load snarling and was shocked to see even more wolves but these ones had their backs to me, like they were protecting me. I looked around at all the wolves, the ones that were going to attack me looked mad, the younger ones looked emotionless except for the black and grey one. He looked relieved and a little sad, and the ones that were helping me looked protective. I was too busy thinking about all this to realize that one of the wolves was coming closer to be until I felt teeth on my arm, not to tight to hurt me but tight enough so that i couldn't get away. The black and white wolf started to growl possessively but then stopped quickly. The wolf biting my arm started tugging and I realized it wanted me to follow so I got up and started following him. I probably shouldn't have and I don't realize this years later but because of this choice I may never find happiness again...
