Chapter 15

**

Last night was a wonderful night, but I cannot say the same for tonight.

"Casey! I ned to see you urgently!"

"Louis? What happened?"

"Just come to the park we took Loki to."

"Ok, alright. I'll be there in five."

As quickly as possible, I leap out of bed grab a pair of jeans and a top, slip on a pair of ballet flats and I'm dashing out of the house.

Sitting in the car, I put on the headlights as its dark. The roads are empty and there is an eerie silence that follows.

Messages flood through my phone. Opening them one by one, the real me slowly starts to surface once again. The one that hates herself and resolves to cutting because that's the only way to drown the pain; the one that looks in the mirror and just breaks down into tears; the one that's hated by all — including herself; the one whose life means nothing.

One after the other, the messages remind me of the things I want to forget.

My mind swirls around with unwanted thoughts that I nearly didn't see the truck heading in my direction. Just as the truck is about to collide with my mother's car, I push the brakes and clutch while I turn the car, making the car drift to the side, leaving skid marks on the road.

The truck scrapes the back of the car and just disappears into the foggy night.

I stay still as I try to recover from my near-death situation.

If I wasn't going to meet Louis tonight, and if I wasn't acting on pure reflex and impulse, I probably would have sped the car up. This would have guaranteed my death. However, I'm no longer the girl with suicidal tendencies, I'm new. Ever since July 23rd, I have been a different person. I plan on staying this way.

After about five minutes I crank up the engine ready to resume my journey to the park. Little did I realize that I stopped the car right in the middle of the busy road.

A loud never-ending monotonous car horn seems to be the last thing I hear before everything turns dark.

I'm woken up by my phone ringtone.

"Casey! I ned to see you urgently!"

"Louis? What happened?"

"Just come to the park we took Loki to."

"Ok, alright. I'll be there in five."

Is it just me, or am I having a horrible sense of deja vu?

As quickly as possible, I leap out of bed grab a pair of jeans and a top, slip on a pair of ballet flats and I'm dashing out of the house.

Sitting in the car, I put on the headlights as its dark. The roads are empty and there is an eerie silence that follows.

This just happens to be the exact same thing that happened in my dream no less than ten minutes ago. This is really strange. Too strange for my liking.

Unfortunately enough, I hear my phone buzz. It buzzes again. And again. And again. The messages are flooding in. My insecurities are flooding back in. The messages remind me of the things I want to forget.

The truck is heading in my direction. I slow down quicker than it happened in my dream. No difference. The truck still scraped the car and I stopped in the middle of the road.

This time I didn't let the five minutes pass. The moment I stopped, I started the car and drove, but five minutes later just as I approached the park,  I hear the monotonous car horn.

This time however, Louis sees it happen and shouts. I disembark the car and run towards Louis. Louis pushes me down and the next thing I see is blood on my clothes, Louis lying down motionless on my lap; but the sight that irritated me the most was most definitely seeing the bastard in his black sedan looking directly at me — smirking. Then he mouths, no one touches my girl.

All I can think right now is F*ck you Jackson.

AN: I know its short, but the drama is yet to be unfolded ^_^
