(Ava in Multimedia)

My name is Ava my life is hectic, well to me. I go through some shit but then again who doesn't. I'm on my way to a college in Tampa. It's called Hillsbourough. That's a long way from where I live now, Portland. I look forward to the trip because my family is getting on my nerves. I have a boyfriend but he is so boring. We were so active when we first started dating but now we barely even talk. But nevermind that I'm on my way to a very far away place. He won't visit me, thank god! Right now I'm waiting for my mom to drive me to the airport. We're not a financially stable family so I picked up an extra job to pay for my air fair. It costed about $400. I managed to save up.

"Come on! The car is started!" I grab my bags and run to the car. I can't help but ponder on what awaits for me at the campus. The ride is short of an hour.

My mom parks the car and said
"Bye" nonchalantly. Great way to say bye to your oldest daughter who won't see you in a very long time. I'm not going there when we have breaks either.
I exit the car and enter the airport. My flight leaves in literally 3 minutes, so I speed walk. I run into a security check thing. He scan me with the metal detector or X-ray thing. He wasn't very pleasing to the eye he had veins popping out his forehead and his big bulky arms. He was tall and white with a pick in his mouth. He had blue eyes. He was scary.

"Clear." He shouted making me jump. I find my gate and talk to the lady at the counter.

"Hello ma'am, may I ask you for your boarding ticket and ID." I pass it to her sort of rushing.

"Okay ma'am now may I ask you, Did anyone you do not know ask you to take any items on to the plane for them?"

   "No."

"Do you have any weapons or firearms in your luggage?" She asked.

  "No." They just checked me.

"And lastly is a window seat okay, we currently have no aisle seats."

   "Yes, that's fine."

"Alright ma'am, enjoy your flight!" She flashed a big smile.

"Thanks." I say rushing through the gate and onto the seat. I found my seat and sat there waiting for take off. I take out my iPod and put it on airplane mode. I take out my headphones and plug them in my ears and let Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole rap away my tiny fear of airplanes.
