Yin and Yang (Sequel to Secrets and Deception)

Month 5, and everything was going strong! The media had a field day when the pair released the marriage and pregnancy to the public but they had mainly backed off now, not even the press had the guts to talk to a, pregnant, hormonal and sleep deprived Jessie J. Danny was tired as he was up most nights with Jessie as she was sick (night time was the worst time for her) but they both still did gigs and interviews. He got the impression Mark and Glen were ready to kill him, apparently the minute a pregnancy is revealed interviewers don't care much about music but nevertheless they went to mush every time they saw Jessie as well.

It was a Friday evening and both of them returned from recording an episode of the Voice together. They were both shattered but hungry and so Jessie set to work in the kitchen.

"What do you fancy, babe?" Jessie asked.

"Whatever you feel up to eating!" Danny replied grumpily.

"What's wrong? Are you fed up with me?" Jessie asked upset.

"No Jess! I could never be fed up with you, it's just, I'm so tired and the work load isn't getting any easier!" Danny said as Jessie began to prepare a curry.

"I know babe but just think, bump will be here in four months time and then your management have said you can have as much time as you need off!" Jessie replied soothingly.

"You get this easy! You get more time off then me!" Danny yelled.

"I'm going to give birth Danny! I'd like to see you try and bring a life into this world through your vagina!" she yelled back

"What's this really about? You love music!" Jessie stated.

Danny sighed and picked up his car keys.

"Where are you going?" Jessie asked sadly.

"I'm just going for a drive to clear my head, it's been a long day and I don't want to take it out on you! I'll be back in time for tea!" Danny said as he kissed her on the cheek and left.

Jessie sighed and went back to preparing the curry. All of a sudden, she felt a shooting sensation from her stomach and this caused her to drop the pepper pot she was holding. She fell to the ground in pain, knocking her head against the kitchen work top which caused her to blackout.

"I'm back Jess and I'm sorry about before, I've brought McFlurry's and I was thinking later-!" Danny said as he opened the door and revealed his wife collapsed on the floor in a pool of blood.

"Jess, Jessie, Jess, can you hear me??"

When he got no response he phoned an ambulance immediately.

"Please be okay babe, please!" he whispered into her hair as he rocked her back and forth, allowing tears to start freely flowing down his face until he began to sob.

"Mr O'Donoghue?" a young nurse called.

"Yes, yes!" Danny leapt out of the waiting room chair.

"Well, I have some good news for you and some bad news as well."

"Oh my goodness, please tell me Jessie's okay, please!"

"That's the good news Sir, Jessica is expected to make a full recovery."

"Oh thank God! Then what's the..... Oh God, it's bump isn't it??"

"I'm really sorry Sir, it appears that your wife has had a miscarriage which caused her to fall. I'm very sorry for your loss."

Danny looked down into the eyes of the nurse.

"Have you told her yet?"

"No sir, she's still unconscious at the minute. The doctor's took advantage of the fact she was already unconscious and performed an emergency c section to extract the baby. We will keep the baby for you so that you can have a ceremony for him. We will wait and let you tell your wife, if you would like."
