I woke up on the floor, confused. I could have sworn I was on the couch just a minute ago. I looked at the clock and remember seeing it being midnight. I look back at the clock and my heart skips a beat. 7:30 am. FUCK.
I try to get up, but feel something around my waist. I look down to see Dakota with a sleeping death grip on my midsection. Every time I work myself loose he simply readjusts his grip. Shit.
"Dakota."
"Hmm?"
"Dakota wake up."
"Mfm."
"Okay if you aren't going to get up at least let go of me."
"Mhmhm."
"Dakota let go of me."
"Nuh uh."
"Then you leave me no choice. SIEGE HELP HES GOT ME!"
My trusty husky dashes into the living room and stomps on Dakota's crotch.
"AGH!"
"You awake now?"
"Ow... Yes."
"Good, now get dressed, your clothes are in the dryer."
"Fine..."
"Oh and abou-"
"Tell no one."
"... Got it."
"Glad we had this happy understanding."
"No problem..." I say in reply with wide eyes.
I walk into the bathroom and step into the shower, washing my hair and all else as quickly as possible. I quickly step out of the shower, dry off, and get dressed as fast as possible.
I jog into the hallway and into the room Dakota stays in, only to walk in on him completely naked.
"SHIT!" I say, instantly blushing and turning around, my face as red as blood.
"Oh fuck..." I hear Dakota say from behind me.
"I'm so sorry I'll just... I'll just leave!"
I hear a quick snap before he speaks.
"No, it's fine. It's fine I have something on now, you can turn around."
"Uh... Okay. It's uh, it's 7:45 now... We need to hurry."
"Okay."
I quickly run from the room in embarrassment. It seems like I have spent more of my time with Dakota without clothing on more that I have with him fully dressed. Siege still has a swollen eye, which causes a twinge of pain in my chest. I pick up the phone and dial the number for a locksmith.
"StoneMill locksmithing, this is Darnel speaking."
"Um, hi, I was wondering if you could come by this address and change the locks to all of the doors?"
"Yes we can, may I ask the address?"
I recite my house address and give instructions as to where to send the bill and leave the key before hanging up. Dakota comes downstairs wearing one of my Panic! shirts.
