Loud music was playing in the background of the pub where fidelis sat. He had left his wife and children at home only thirty minutes prior, in order to go drink away his problems and anger. He had a very bad temper, so bad that he explodes from time to time. It's not a good thing to be around fidelis when he explodes, he beats and hurts anyone who comes near him. He had already hurt his wife, his three children, his parents, his brother and pretty much every friend he had. Today had been one of those days where he exploded. He handled it the only way he knew, drinking away all his anger and pain. He hates himself for his temper. He hates the fact that no one is safe near him, that everyone is scared of him, but maybe, it's for the better. The less people around him, the less will get hurt.

He lumbered to his feet after sitting on the bar stool for far too long. He stumbled out of the bar onto the empty street, looking around trying to orient himself in order to get home. When he finally figured out the way to go, he started to wobble down the street in the direction of his home. When he was about halfway home, he heard a sound.

"Psst!!" Fidelis looked around confused, where had that come from? "Hey! Over here"

He looked around. Standing at the entrance to a dark alley was a lady. Long blond hair that fell down her back and over her shoulders reaching her busty chest.

"You're not really going back to her are you? Back to that disgrace of a family who always say you're wrong. Come with me, I know you're always right, I would trust you and never say that something you speak is untrue" Fidelis was confused, who was this woman? Why was she asking him to come with her? And even though Fidelis knew that something was not right with this woman, the idea of going with her appealed to him. He would be the greatest, the one who was never wrong.

"Where would you take me?" Fidelis slurred out a question.

"Somewhere great. Somewhere better. Somewhere, where you're the ruler with the wise mind."

Fidelis knew that he should have asked for more details, but in his drunken state he found himself agreeing to go with her. He imagined how he would be the one that everyone hails, the one that everyone looks up to, and the one that everyone fears. After all, he was the best there ever was. He didn't know how he had put up with other people breathing his precious air until now. He found himself following the woman into the dark alley. Only now did he realise how truly dark this alley was. It was the kind of darkness that pressed onto your eyes and your skin until you could barely breathe. The darkness got denser and denser as he followed the woman deeper and deeper into the alley. Although she was right in front of him, eventually the darkness got so thick that he could not see a thing anymore. Indeed he realised that he could not hear anything anymore either. Not the click clack of the woman's heels in front of him, not the stray cars from the street, not the sound of pub doors opening and closing.

Only then did he realise- he was in grave danger.

A high pitched cackle was heard from somewhere within the darkness.

"You fool!" a shrill voice shrieked "How can someone be so drunk and blind to not realise that they're walking right into my trap!?" the voice send shivers down Fidelis' back. "You're pride has blinded you, Fidelis. It has made you so blind that you cannot see the most obvious of traps!"

"How do you know my name?" Fidelis' voice quivered in fear, the journey down the alley definitely sobered him up.

"Of all the questions you should be asking me, you choose that one?! Pathetic" she spit out the last word with such disgust, that it sent shivers down his back. "Well I guess that's one more reason to kill you then you pathetic son of a-" Fidelis stopped listening as fear took him over. She was going to kill him. He started wondering how she would do it. Would she poison him, or strangle him, or would she stab-

He couldn't finish that train of thoughts since he felt a searing pain in his back. He found himself coughing up blood struggling to breathe. She had stabbed him in the back. When that thought crossed his mind, he practically dead already, falling to the floor with a thud before he closed his eyes, never to open them again.
