Niall's POV
It took me a few minute to realize that I wasn't following Lyric's car home anymore. After
I received the call from the nurse, I zoned out. It terrified me that Michael was sick and Grace was at a high risk of getting sick as well. I couldn't help but wonder what Lyric was thinking. I pulled over onto the side of the road, to collect my thoughts, and to find out were Lyric was.
I tried to call her phone a couple of times but there was no answer. I looked at the road ahead of me, and then the surroundings. Then it clicked in my brain, Lyric's parents' cemetery is a few miles back. I started the car back up and, turned around to head there. When I finally pulled onto the road that led to the cemetery, I seen Lyric's car in the distance.
I sped down the road and parked next to her car. When I turned the car off it started to drizzle. I got out and ran over to Lyric who was sitting in front of her parents' headstone, with her legs pulled up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. She was crying and talking to it. I stood there quietly ad listened.
"They are absoulutely adorable, I wish you were both here to see them."
"Gracie, and Michael, are really big cuddlers, just like their dad." I couldn't help but smile when she said that.
"That is not the reason I came here today though." she drifted off.
"Mom, Daddy, Michael is sick, and I just dont know what to do. I cant go see him and I cant even go and see Grace."
"I feel like such a terrible mom." She sobbed, and that's when I dropped down next to her and held her in my arms.
"Princess, your not a terrible mom, it breaks my heart to hear you say that." I said, pulling her onto my lap and holding her close to my chest. She grabbed a handful of my t-shirt while sobbing into my chest.
"N-Ni, I d-don't want anything to happen to t-them." She spoke in between her cry's.
"Nothing is going to happen to them there our strong little babies, they're fighters." I said.
"What if something does happen to them Niall?" She cried again, along with a few tears of my own.
"We can't think about it that way Lyric. If anything does we're a family and we need to stay strong from them." She nodded against my chest, and I rubbed her back soothingly. The rain really started to pick up and I didn't want neither of us getting sick.
"Let's get home, and out of this rain. How does that sound?" I asked and she nodded and got up. We held hands all the way to our cars, and we got in them and drove home. When we were finally home we changed out of our damp clothes into some more comfortable ones. I made tea, a bunch of snacks and brought them to the bedroom where Lyric was sitting up in bed underneath the blankets.
"Here you go." I said calmly handing Lyric her tea.
"Thanks sweetheart." She smiled warmly. I got into bed next to her and she slid down and snuggled into my side. She sat her tea on the night stand, and wrapped her arm around my waist.
"Niall I was wondering..." She trailed off.
"Yeah love?" I questioned.
"We don't have to if you don't want to, but do you think we can have your mom come stay for a while, at least until we get some better news about the babies." She asked. I knew why she wanted her to come. Lyric needed a comfort of a mother, and that's what my was always best at.
"If that's want you want princess, we can call her up and ask." I suggested.
"I think it's for the best." She smiled, which made me smile. I placed a kiss on her forehead, and put my tea on my night stand. Once I was comfortable again I snuggled down next to Lyric, and we both drifted off to sleep.
