I woke up on a quiet, Monday morning, the worst day of the week. I didn't want to even get up, i would rather stay here in my comfy bunny slippers and sleep. But, it was a school day, and I can't miss it. I got up then kicked my bunny slippers off. I walked to my bathroom and the floor paneling was freezing. I started tip toeing back to my bunny slippers then put them on. I walked back to my sink and brushed my teeth.
Brady, my one and only best friend ran into my room. " Hurry up, Andre! The bus is leaving! " He shouted as he adjusted his glasses. I got my backpack then ran out to the bus, and noticed I only had my pajamas on along with my bunny slippers. Everyone started laughing except Brady he stood in front of me so nobody would see me. He lead me to the back of the bus and we sat down.
A boy with short brown hair and a bit over-weight came up to us. He started laughing and pointing. It was the school bully. Connor Sikes. " Stop Connor. " Brady said. Connor looked at Brady with a death stare, and got up in his face and said, " I'll do what I want. " Brady looked like he was about to throw up. Connor's breathe smelt horrible. Connor went and sat back down next to his bully friends. I looked over at the bus driver, Mr. Freeman. He was as hairy as usual. Brady says he's a werewolf. Brady believes anything anyone tells him also. We arrived at the school and as we were walking in the bus, Connor poked his leg out and tripped me. Brady helped me up and we continued to walk. I smelt the school air, which smelt like, depressed teens, depressed janitors and depressed anything. We walked into the school and then walked to our lockers. Brady opened his locker and then put some books in it. " Basketball tryouts are today. " He said. Brady and I liked basketball, it's just we never got to play. Mostly because of, Wyattache Brewer. The jock. He's pretty much good at any sport, and he gets all the ladies. " Yeah. Maybe we shouldn't even tryout. " I said. He looked at me like I'd just killed a dog.
" We're going to tryout. " He said. I forgot. Basketball was important to him. His dad use to play, but unfortunately he has passed away. I nodded then he pulled out a school uniform and handed it to me. I walked into the boys bathroom and put it on. I came out then we started walking to math class. We sat down and waited for Mrs. Heart to get here. She did a few minutes later. Smarty pants, Jamie Johnson walked to Mrs. Heart and gave her an apple. Always trying to kiss up to the the teacher. Disgusting. She sat down then smirked at me. An hour passed, it was just full of math equations. We walked out of class and saw Mrs. Mitchell. The principal. A.K.A. The devil. He is so mean. He stared at us with a weird look and then he walked off. We started making our way to lunch as Wyatt Brewer approached us. He was a nice guy.. Just not the brightest.
" Hey guys. You coming to basketball tryouts today? " He asked.
" Yup! " Brady said. Wyatt smiled then walked off. We arrived in the lunch room and saw that the lunch ladies were making, rabbit stew. Yuck! Brady and I just sat down, not wanting to get any food. Brady's phone was getting spammed with text messages. It was probably Aubrey. Aubrey is one of Brady's best friends. Brady use to live in Nebraska and so did Aubrey. But then Aubrey moved and so did he. Connor came up to Brady and stole his phone." Aww. You having a whittle chat with your bestie. " He said. Brady's eyes were turning yellow. I had no idea what was happening. I jumped in front of Brady and then he ran off. I took the phone from Connor and stuck my tongue out.
Mr. Mitchell was watching us with a weird look. He looked away then walked off with his rabbit stew on a plate. I chased after Brady. He was running in the hall way. All I heard were screams, as if he were in pain. Then he started running fast. Super fast. I couldn't keep up and then I slipped and fell. Brady wasn't in sight.I looked to my right and saw a ' Wet floor ' sign next to me. Mr. Frenchie, the janitor helped me up.
" Best be careful boy. " He said to me as he twiddled his mustache.
" Yes sir. " I said as I walked back to the lunch room.A few hours later school was over, and I got a call from Brady's mom.
" Have you seen Brady? " She asked.
" No ma'am. He ran off during lunch. " I said. He missed tryouts.
" Okay, be careful on your way home. " She said.I didn't go home. I went to the woods behind the school where Brady always goes. I saw a big hairy figure. It looked like a wolf. But.. It wasn't. I started to take a few steps back and then I stepped on a twig and snapped it.
It turned its head and stared at me. It was a werewolf.
