Prologue: Henry Handbook

This is no ordinary school, filled with normal students and teachers in a boring class. No, this is a private boarding school for the 'special' people of Stonebridge, and their children. Each class has an assigned teacher and specific learning plan specially designed for each and every attending student. Every class you miss or fail goes straight onto your record.

Every class has a different name for social class, knowledge, and of course academics. If your class outranks a higher one you switch the board. The 'board' is commonly known as a reward program, whoever is on top receives top-notch equipment and a longer period off of school for the weekend.

The names of these classes are labeled as Superior, Alpha, Omega and Minor.

You will be carefully selected by your knowledge, species, survival skills, and powers to be put into your specially hand-picked housing area and will be expected to have extreme manners and must be well-groomed at all times. Thank you for your interest in Henry Academy and have a safe school-year.

CH. 1: Lonely Wolves

The crowd of other new students was over-whelming, you could literally SMELL the anxiety. And i'm not even a werewolf, well I could be. Put that on the long list of What-Could-I-Possibly-Be? Looking over some heads I could see the dean of our school with a grimace upon her wrinkly face, luckily I'm always teachers' pet! "Welcome new students, to Henry Academy! We here at Henry Academy hope you strive for a brighter future..." the dean's voice boomed over the loud-speaker.

Almost all the new students had their parents or guardian with them. I desperately pleaded my aunt to come, but she was 'too busy' to come. And my uncle was pre-occupied with work to be able to come. The least they could've done was TELL me what I am! Apparently, it seems I'm 'too young' to understand, I'm flipping 16 years old, I think I AM old enough! Either way, they said I'll peice it together here...

All the newbies, including me, had to walk to the east side of a tall, brick building. Probably for getting sorted and finding your rightful class and ranking score. Walking down the long hallways with the crowd made me feel so claustrophobic, I felt like puking. I never really was good in tight spaces, ever since the incident. The doctors assured me it could, or would, happen again, but I highly doubt it. Right as I began to stray away from memory lane some dick trampled me.

"Oh my god, are you okay? My buddy and I were messing around and..." the guy began to ramble on about how he was sorry and he should watch out for people better. Honestly, I did not give one single fuck. I must've looked pretty out of it because he started snapping and waving his finger's in front of my face.

"Hey, are you alright?", the guy looked genuinely concern. But I knew it must've been an act or something. After helping me up he told me his name was Parker Reed. Apparently he is a shape-shifter, pretty cool. But there must be a million at this school. "So you're new here?", Parker questioned. "If I wasn't why would I following the wave of people?" I snarled.

I guess I always always rude to people I first met, usually they just back away and wish they never bothered asking. But Parker was different. He stuck around, poor soul. "True, but I'm not new, I just got sucked into the moving bunch, along with my buddy Joe."He nodded towards the guy with black l, shaggy hair. He came over next to Parker.

They were so much taller than me, well a by two or three feet. "What are you, Joe?" I tried to ask politely but it came out sounding like a demand. Good thing he isn't a stick in the mud. "I'm a werewolf, what are you?" He poked my shoulder, with his pointer finger at the 'you'. I literally, did not know what I could tell him. I wasn't gonna say 'I don't know', because the last time I said that I got picked on in 5th grade.

So, to make it sound a little more mysterious, I simply replied "You'll find that out later" and darted my gaze away from them. "Hey, did you find 'the one' over summer break?" Parker piped in. Joe exhaled and muttered under his breath, "No." I snapped my eyes toward Parker and Joe, "What do you mean?" I asked.

Parker shouldered Joe, "Can I tell her?". Joe narrowed his eyes towards me. He searched me with his eyes and sighed, "Fine". "Joe met this cool girl with short, pink hair over the summer but being the idiot he is, he forgot to ask for her phone number." He took a breath, "So he has been hanging around the park like a complete love-sick puppy, hoping he could find her." Parker rolled his eyes and looked at Joe.

Joe looked like he was in his own world, probably dreaming about the girl. Poor guy, I do feel pretty bad for the werewolf.

The ceremony was pretty lame, but it was only thirty minutes to sort you into a rank, thank goodness.

If it was any longer I might have decided on becoming a ghost. Apparently they didn't really need a species, but they did have me preform some pretty difficult tests. Physical ones too, yawn. Too bad I excel at academics and sports! I'm a double threat!

~End Of Chapter One~

Ch. 2 Annoying Fairies

First period was learning about different specific supernaturals. It was pretty cool, but I got distracted by Parker's muscles. God, Carrie doesn't deserve him. She is such a snob, with her perfect jet black hair, and her perfect attitude. Especially her perfect fake image. Oh yea, did I mention she's a fucking fairy!

After class, the rest of the day was pretty boring. Class, class, class, lunch, gym, and then one last class. Apparently I ride the same bus as Joe and Parker, they are officially the only friends I have. Then again, that's not so bad besides Carrie.

"Hey, are you okay Mandy?" Joe stared at me from his seat across mine. "I'm fine, I just get bus sick" which was true, I was never the traveling type. He slide across the aisle to my seat, I sat alone. "Are you sure? The bus ride home is thirty minutes, want to take a nap?" Joe patted his shoulder. "Uh, sure" I was pretty tired from today. So I rested my head against his shoulder, which was super warm!
