My Only Chance

Chapter 1

Claire's P.O.V.

"So will you go?" Audrey asked me.

"Why is it such a big deal that I go to this stupid party?" I groaned laying down on my bed.

"Because you have been sulking in your room, feeling sorry for yourself ever since Riley broke up with you." She said plopping down right next to me.

"Your point? If I recall you spent 2 weeks locked up in your room when Zach broke up with you." I snapped back. "I still have one week to go."

"Okay point taken. But come on, this is supposed to be the party of the year. Don't make me go without my best friends. If you go you can drink your sorrows away, make out with hot guys, get Riley out of your system...maybe get someone else into it instead." Audrey snickered.

"Wow...Inappropriate much?" I laughed. Maybe this wasn't a bad idea. "Fine I'll go."

"Really?" Audrey squealed.

"Yes...but please be civil around my brother."

"Only if he is towards me. Other than that he can burn in hell for all I care."

"You think Zach knows how to be civil? It's like you don't know him at all. You only dated him for two years."

"Ya and that was the biggest mistake ever. You know Zach is a huge douche." Audrey said getting off of my bed.

"I know. I've known him for 19 years." I laughed getting up and walking towards the door. "Now will you get out so I can get ready?"

"Fine. Fine. I'm leaving. But hurry cause we are leaving in an hour." Audrey screamed as she ran down the hall to her room.

I laughed at my friend as I closed my bedroom door.

Chance's P.O.V.

"Dude this party is going to be epic!" Zach screamed as we carried the last of the drinks to the kitchen.

"Ya I know. But I'm not sure if we got enough to drink." I laughed sarcastically at our array of beers, sodas, and harder alcohol.

"You're right. I'll run to the store." Zach said grabbing his keys.

"I'm kidding, dude. We have more than enough." I laughed jumping on the counter and pulling out my phone.

"Whatever." Zach mumbled heading to his room.

I just laughed at him. Three years of this guys antics and they never get old. I continued to chuckle as I walked to my room. I figured I'd take a nap before the party. As I layed down, I wondered if she was going to be here tonight. I finally fell asleep, replaying the moment I met the girls of my dreams.
