Me and my sister ran up to our mother. I nudged her over and over with my nose, "Mom...Mom! Get up please!" I wailed.

Eve placed her head on her chest, "I don't hear the thumping I hear when I'm curled up to her!"

Lunartail and the Badger's blood started to pool around them. Tears dripped down onto the blood soaked grass, "It's all my fault...."

Eve buried her face into our mothers fur, "She can't be dead... Mom please wake up.." I put my shaking tail on her shoulder and stared at our mother.

Rain started to pour down on us. I wanted to go find shelter but Eve refused saying that we should see if mom would wake up. Eve had made lots of trips to get whatever flowers she could find. "I hope mum likes these when she wakes up."

I gave a slight nod although I already knew the truth, "Please let it go Eve, being around mother makes me feel guilty. Our mother....our mother is dead."

I looked around and saw a monster start to roar down a near by road. I noticed a damp brown object fall from the top of it, the monster didn't seem to mind to much and kept running by. "Wait here." I ordered and padded away to investigate.

The object was in a shape I had never seen before, it had six even sides. I jumped on top of it and was able to hear the hollow thump when I landed. I unsheathed a claw and easily cut through the substance then looked in side. There were weird objects inside, wool straps with metal rings on them.

"Eve come here it's safe!" I called.

I saw my sister slowly start creeping towards me, checking back on our mother every few steps. She hopped up beside me and looked in, "What are those things?"

"I think mom said they were collars, those kittypet things that live with the two legs put them on cats." I explained.

She stuck out a unsheathed paw and snagged a pink strap. "I like this one, it reminds me of the sunset color."

I examined the collars and fished for a red one, "This one is the color of blood, I like it." I meowed.

"Let's bury the rest, if these ones break we can get more."  Eve said.

I jumped down with my strap in my jaws, "Good idea, let's put these on first though."

I helped my sister first by snaking it onto her neck, "It's a little big but it'll work." I told her.

She smiled and licked my ear, "Thanks, your turn."

I turned around and she through it over my neck, I was thankful for this distraction. "How does mine look?"

"Really cool, didn't mom say dad wore a collar? But he wasn't a kittypet." Eve asked as we walked back to the tree.

"She said he had his own clan, I think they called themselves BloodClan. Lunartail said dad was secretly born a kittypet." I replied.

We sat down in front of our mother, our heads hung. I looked over at the badger, "You don't deserve to die in the same place as my mother." I growled.

"We're to small to drag it." Eve sighed.

I let out a huff, "I'm going to try." I grabbed one of its massive paws with my mouth and started to haul it. It wasn't moving but one of its claws came loose and I tumbled back. Eve ran over to me, "Are you ok?"

I rolled over onto all fours, "I'm fine, are you ready to find shelter yet? We will freeze out here and I don't think mom is going to wake up..."

Eve hung her, "Can we say good bye first Nightmare?"
