-Farah's POV-

It sure will be fun trying to get Aya and Lucas together.

I tried to sleep, but couldn't. Aya was shifting in her bed too, so I figured she couldn't sleep either. I decided to talk to her until any of us decides to sleep.

"Can't sleep huh?" I asked her.

"Yeah, pretty much." She answered. Her voice seemed tired.

"Your voice isn't good, are you sure that you're okay?" I asked with concern.

"I don't know, maybe it's just because of the lack of sleep." She replied nonchalantly.

"I wanted to tell you something I heard Ethan say today." I blurted.

"Sure, anything." She said, suddenly interested.

She shifted and sat up straight in her bed, focusing on what I am about to say. I hesitated for seconds, debating on whether I should tell her or no. I really should've thought about that before I decided to open my mouth and spill.

"Well, today when you were too busy flirting with Lucas, he was having an argument with Nadine." I finally said.

She nodded.

"Yeah, turns out she is supposed to be his girlfriend." I paused. Her eyes widened.

"Just like I'm telling you, she is his girlfriend." I continued. "She was arguing that Lucas and he were giving us too much attention and ignoring her."

"What did he tell her?" She asked curiously.

"He told her that whatever happened between them was nothing, and that he doesn't date." I finished.

"He doesn't what?" She shouted.

"Yeah, he doesn't date." I told her.

ًWe stopped talking for a while. The silence wasn't awkward, but full of thinking instead.

"This is weird." Aya broke the silence.

"Do you think, if I finally realize that I like him, I will have a chance?" I said. "I mean, will he like me for real? Or will I just be a stage in his life that he will throw away after a while?"

"Farah, honey." She got up from her bed and sat beside me. "If you finally decide that you like someone, you will do anything to have them be interested in you." She smiled, then continued. "If they don't appreciate it, then they are not worthy of your time, nor worthy of your heart. That is when you let them go, and search for someone that perfectly matches you, appreciates what you do, love you for who you are, through your breakdowns and insecurities. If you happen to find that person and I am not around, please call me so I can make him a statue in the most famous square in the world." She smirked.

"For once, I thought that you were taking serious." I playfully smacked her on her shoulder.

"I don't talk serious. That is something I consider offensive." She laughed. "Lets have something to eat then go to sleep."

"I am not actually that hungry, but a bag of salty chips won't hurt anyone." I winked.

"That's my girl." She gave me a quick peck on the cheek before storming off to the kitchen.

A few minutes passed before she came back into our bedroom with a bag of Lay's Salt and Vinegar for me, and Ritz crackers for herself. We talked and watched TV for about half an hour until she passed out on her bed. I decided to sleep myself too, it was a tiring day after all.

I woke up the next day feeling good. It was rare when I started a day fresh, not grumpy about waking up early.

What really amazed me is that I found myself up before Aya. She was always the early-bird type, waking up before anyone else around. Her skills of waking up people though, weren't the best you would want to witness. They range from screaming in your ear, to throwing a whole bucket of icy cold water on you. No bueno.

I took a quick shower and rinsed my hair. I left the bathroom and opened my closet. I wanted to wear something more bright today, just in case I see Ethan again.

I picked my dark washed denim shorts, a hot pink off the shoulder t-shirt with the words LOVE written over it in silver, and a white tanktop underneath. I chose my white converse for the shoes and decided to straighten my hair. I finished off with a little bit of black eyeliner, mascara, and some pink lipstick.

By the time I was finished, Aya was already awake and taking her shower. So to waste some time, I made a little pancake breakfast for both of us. We both had a pancake obssession that would even go as further as eating pancakes for the rest of our lives. We are weird girls with weird obssessions.

Aya came out of the bedroom not so long after I made the pancakes in a white, maroon, black, and green plaid shirt with the first three buttons undone, just enough to show the black tanktop she wore underneath, along with black shorts and her black vans. Her brownish-black hair was straightened and raised in a high ponytail. Her facial expressions didn't look good, but I brushed it off and presumed it was because she woke up earlier than accustomed.

After Aya was done getting ready, I ushered her over to the kitchen to have breakfast. Surprisingly, she declined the offer, and I ate alone, then we were off to the campus once again. We attended three classes until it was lunch time, and I excused myself to go to the bathroom. I was kind of afraid to leave Aya alone in her condition, but I knew she wasn't alone. I mean the cafeteria was full of people that would help her.

Just as I exited the bathroom, I heard a chaos coming from the cafeteria room. Apparently some girl fainted while she was eating, and the nurse was waiting in her office to help her regain her consciousness.

I tried to move through the crowds until I recognized my bestfriend's dark brown hair. I literally pushed through all the people ahead of me to reach where she was. I finally found her held in Lucas' arms, who was trying to reach the door with Ethan following closely behind.

I patted on Ethan's shoulder. "What happened to Aya? Is she going to be okay?" I said as I felt a tear escape my eyes.

"We still don't know Farah, but calm down, she will be fine." He smiled and pulled me closer to his body.

I kept struggling to leave the cafeteria for another ten minutes at least, with Ethan's muscular hands surrounding me all the way. At that moment I just wanted to stop everything happening around me and melt in his arms. I inhaled the smell of his heavenly cologne, and I wished I would smell it for the rest of my life. The warm heat of his body calmed me down as we watched Lucas step into the nurse's room, leaving us both with the million thoughts running through our minds.
