CHAPTER ONE
Jude's pov
" okay, now everybody find a partner" my science teacher said up at the front of the class room. I looked around the class room everybody was looking for partners but me. "hey Lyla do you want to be my partner?" Conner asked. I was kind of hoping she would say no so me and Conner could be partners. He's the only person I really talk to and doesn't make fun of me. "umm sorry no" lyla replied. I felt a grin form one my face. I was about to ask Conner to be my partner when Lyla walked up To me. "hey Jude want to be part-" no sorry lyla" I said. She flared her nostrils at me and walked away. I turned around and asked Conner if he wanted to be partners and he said yes. Then the bell rang and I went to Lena's office and waited for her to finish her work and then take us home.
THE NEXT DAY
Conners pov
I heard the doorbell ring and opened the door. "hey Jude" I said waiting for him to come in some could shut the door. "I have All the stuff for the project" he said. "you didn't have to buy all that my mod was going to buy it" I told him leading him up the stairs. "oh it's ok " He said. Jude is so nice. He's one of those people who can brighten up a sad day. We got most of the project done then it was time for Jude to go home. " so uh...... Are you and Lyla a thing?". He asked me. " um I don't think so. I don't think a girl like her would go out with a guy like me. But she seems to like you. " I said to him as we were walking downstairs. " oh I like someone else...... Who's no her." Jude said about to walk out the door. " cool, what's her name?" I asked. "his" Jude said then walked out the door. It took my a while for me to understand what he meant. Then It hit me.
