Chapter Eight~ Harry

My head was throbbing, and my leg was on fire. Laying in this hospital bed only made it worse. The cast on my leg was itchy, to say the least. It was more like I'd had poison ivy sitting on it for hours. The IV in my left arm had fluids pumping into my system, along with another tube draining blood once an a while. Trying to remember what happened was on my mind more than not. All I remembered was that I had been driving home, and there were suddenly horns and a loud crash.

I'd been sitting up in bed watching football(American soccer), when the door burst open to reveal Louis. His presence didn't shock me, but it was who was behind him that did. Standing in the doorway, were Carly-who looked as if she had a cold- and Caroline, worried expressions on their faces as they all rushed over to my bedside. Louis starting prodding me with questions, from how I was feeling to if I had eaten yet. I paid no attention to him, though. My attention was focused in the wavy-haired girl beside him. She looked a bit ill, but more worried than both Louis and Caroline combined.

"Carly, Caroline, no offense; but what are you doing here?" I managed to get out, chuckling slightly. They all laughed, Louis not as much so.

"Louis came over all frantic-like; he looked like he'd seen a right ghost, I tell you." Caroline spoke for both of them, before bursting into a fit of laughter at Louis' offended facial expression. They then proceeded to argue, Louis defending his 'dignity'; as if he ever had any.

A melodious laughter filled my ears, as I turned to be met with the most beautiful blue eyes, lips upturned and head thrown back. Carly had the perfect personality, smile, and perfect laughter as I've come to now know. Her eyes pulled me in, and I guarantee I could get lost in the endless seas of blue that are her iris'. Her smile was perfect, not forced any longer, with the perfectly white teeth that are completely straight; no mark left behind from braces, and no sight of Invisalign shown. What was this girl doing to me?

"Hey, Harry, we're going to get some food from the deli down the street, want anything?" Louis' voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I shook my head, and turned to Carly, who so shook her head and sat in the chair beside my bed. I was shocked, to say the least. With a simple "See you in a bit!", the two were gone.

"So, how are you feeling?" Carly smiled at me, fiddling with her hands. She was just so perfect, wasn't she?

"As well as a person in a hospital bed with a cast on his leg can feel." I joked, being rewarded with the light and beautiful sound of her laughter.

"That's good. Do you need anything?" She asked, pouring herself a cup of water from the pitcher that was sitting beside my bed, which was meant for my throat if I felt it was sore. "Sorry, I'm a bit sick."

"It's okay. And no, I think I'm good. Except, I want one thing more than need it." I was out on a limb here, but I wanted to know. "What is it?" She chuckled, sipping from the styrofoam cup.

"Would you tell me your favorite things?" She seemed taken aback at my request, but sighed and sat up straight nonetheless.

"What would you like to know exactly?" She smiled, setting down her cup. "Everything."

"We'll, then I'll sing it, I suppose. Just for the record, this song is not exactly all my favorites, especially the mustache bit." She chuckled, but began in a slightly sickly voice. Instantly, the song registered in my mind; Nick Jonas' Introducing Me.

I-I'm good at wasting time,
I think lyrics need to rhyme,
And you're not asking,
But I'm trying grow a mustache.

Her voice sent chills through my spine, although I'd heard her sing before. Even ill, she sounded amazing.

I eat cheese,
But only on pizza, please,
And sometimes on a homemade quesadilla
Otherwise it smells like feet to me.

And I, I really like it
When the moon looks like a toenail
And I love you when you say my na-a-ame.
If you wanna know, here it goes, gonna tell you theres
A part of me that shows,
If we're close gonna let you see,
Everything
But remember that you asked for it.
I'm trying to do my best, to impress
But its easier to let you
Take a guess at the rest
But you wanna hear what lives in my brain,
and my heart,
Well you asked for it.
For your perusing
At times confusing,
Slightly amusing,
Introducing me

do-do do-do-do-do-do

do-do do-do-do-do-do

la-da-da-da la-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da

I never trust a dog to watch my food
And I like to use the word "dude" as a noun or an adverb or an adjective
And I, I've never really been into cars
I like really cool guitars and superheroes
And cheques with lots of zeros on them
I love the sound of violins and making someone smi-i-ile

Se seemed to have much in common with myself, even if some of this was just the song, some of it had to be true, or she wouldn't have chosen to sing.

If you wanna know, here it goes, gonna tell you theres
A part of me that shows,
If we're close gonna let you see,
Everything
But remember that you asked for it.
I'm trying to do my best to impress
But it's easier to let you
Take a guess at the rest
But you wanna hear what lives in my brain,
My heart,
Well you asked for it.
For your perusing,
At times confusing,
Possibly amusing,
Introducing Me.

Well, you probably know more than you ever wanted to
So be careful when you ask next ti-i-i-ime.

So, if you wanna know, here it goes, gonna tell you theres
A part of me that shows,
If we're close gonna let you see,
Everything
But remember that you asked for it.
I'm trying do my best to impress
But its easier to let you
Take a guess at the rest
But you wanna hear what lives in my brain,
My heart,
Well you asked for it.
For your perusing,
At times confusing,
Hopefully amusing,
Introducing Me.

Introducing me.

Her melodious voice finished the song, which seemed to be perfect for her. The way she smiled at certain lyrics made it obvious those words were true for herself. How her eyes lit up as she sang, I could tell this was her- truly happy, and here I promised myself I would be the reason for that. Soon enough.

It's been a while, and I have no excuse to being so lazy. I'm very sorry. I attached a gif of how I picture Harry as Carly sings, and a video of the song she sings directly from the movie Camp Rock 2.

I'll try to write as quickly as I can to get out the next chapter, but I'm making no promises.
