Samuel Howell, age eight, lives with his mom, dad, and older brother, Dan.

Dan isn't the greatest brother. Not even Dan, himself, could say he is. There are times where Sam needs his older brother, but Dan won't even bother to look at him. Sam came to the conclusion that Dan is too prideful and doesn't need a little brother to ruin his 'image'.

Yeah, as if Dan has an image, Sam scoffs in his head.

Sam needs advice that only Dan could help him with. It might be stupid to Dan, but to an eight-year-old, this is life or death. Well, not literally.

"Dan," Sam comes knocking on Dan's door after he came home from school.

"What do you want? I'm kinda busy here," Sam hears faint moans, most likely coming from a computer. Sam may be eight, but he knows all too well what Dan is getting up to.

"I-I need your help with something? It's kind of important. To me, at least."

After a minute of Sam waiting for a response, he turns to leave just as the door to Dan's room opens.

"Come in, little bro," Dan says, sighing.

"There's this girl," Sam starts to explain.

"Ooh, do you like her? Do you need advice to get in her pants? Are gonna fu-" Dan starts getting over excited.

"Dan! No! She's six." Sam looks utterly disgusting, and almost immediately regretting asking Dan for help.

Dan is nothing but a horny, hormonal sixteen year old boy, who thinks only with his penis. Sam hopes and prays that he doesn't turn out like his older brother. He wants to give more respect towards women, or anyone for that matter. Dan doesn't care about anyone but himself.

Sometimes, Sam feels like he's a bit smarter than his older brother. Or at least more mature.

"Oh," Dan says, sinking into his chair a bit, cheeks turning a light shade of pink.

"Uhm..I just need advice. She's a really tiny little girl and I gotta make sure nobody bullies her. But, she's honestly bait for all of the mean jerks in third grade. You see, she's too smart to be in kindergarten, so she moved up a couple of grades. And now is the youngest and smallest girl in our class. How do I protect her?" Sam is basically begging his brother for advice at this point.

"Uh, I'm not really the best at advice, so if this doesn't work, then don't blame me for shit."

"Don't curse!" Sam scolds.

"Sorry, sorry. I don't know, I guess just try to be her body guard, when or if you see someone trying to pick a fight with her or something, just go over to them and put that kid in their place." Dan shrugs, "that's all I got."

"I'll, uh, try that I guess. " Sam fiddles with his fingers, "thanks?" it comes out more of a question than an actual word of gratitude.

"You're welcome?" Dan mocks back.

Sam leaves Dan's room and goes to his own. Contemplating what Dan said. Sam knows that he's not strong enough or persuasive enough to stop someone from hurting Fiona, but he has to try. He already promised.

Sam walks downstairs to the kitchen where his mom is making dinner. His dad is still at work, but will come home soon, Sam imagines.

"Hey, mommy. Can my friend come over after school tomorrow? She's new to our class and I want to show her my friendship," Sam asks, while stealing a piece of garlic bread.

"Hey! That's for dinner!" Mrs. Howell scolded Sam, "yes, of course your new friend can come over! That's very sweet of you! What's her name?"

"Fiona Lester." Sam tells her.

"Does she happen to be related to a Phil Lester? He's in one of the support groups that I run! I would imagine that they're related?" Mrs. Howell asks.

"I can ask her!" Sam says before running back upstairs to start on his homework.

I A/N. I'm hella sick rn. I have a terrible cold that's slowly killing me. I may be a bit dramatic there *_*

But yeah, I'm really loving this story, it's very cute. It'll be better and more 'sophisticated' when Fiona and Sam are a little bit older. But for now, I'm gonna keep it on a "kid" level, I guess you could say. Ahahahah enjoy!!
