"Jemily! get down here now" a voice yelled. I figured it was my mother because she is the only one who will call my sister by her full name. I walked down stairs with gem to see what she had done but I knew if I stayed that my mother would yell at me, so I pretended like I was walking past them to go take the clothes off of the clothes line. Gem had just set up one of her famous mouse traps. Ever since my dad showed Emily what a mouse trap was she tried to make her own and my mothers feet always kept getting stuck in them. I walked out side and watched momma talk to gem in the kitchen I walked over to the clothes line an I couldn't reach the clothes pins so I just tugged on the clothes until they fell into my arms. After I had seen that gem and my mother had left the kitchen I ran towards the screen door with my left arm filled with folded, damp clothes. I pulled on the screen door but it was locked I thought that maybe they had thought I would come threw the front door with the clothes because it is wider. I ran around the house to the front door and it was locked too. I dropped the clothes and ran towards the rope ladder hanging from my bedroom window on the 3rd floor of the house. I had put that rope there last summer when we were locked out of the house because of my father misplacing his keys. I climbed up the rope and opened my bedroom window after a long 10 minutes of climbing  I sat on my bed for a second then headed down the stairs to the second floor I looked in the my parents bedroom, the guest room, the master bathroom, and the playroom.  Nobody was there so I headed down the second set of stairs I looked in the kitchen, the living room, the downstairs bedroom, and the cabinet under the stairs that led to the basement. No jemily, no mom, no dad. I was scared, really scared until I found......The note.
