"ALEXIS!!! Get up here before we are late for school." he screams up the stairs.

"im coming hold on!" I scream back as I grab my bag, jacket and shoes.

I run up the steps and see him at the door waiting for me, him as in Hayes. Hayes is like my brother and best friend. I've lived with him ever since I can remember. We share a room, which is the basement. We are super close and practically inseparable.

I have a brother, Scott but he lives with my parents in Maine. I don't really know why I live with Hayes and not in Maine. I don't remember but apparently until I was 2 me and my parents lived next store. When they moved to Maine for some reason I stayed here. I see them sometimes but not too often.

Hayes and I hop in the car and Elizabeth drives us to school. We pull into the school and Hayes and I leave grabbing our bags and head to our lockers. We have lockers next to each other and the same schedule. I don't know how it happens, but it does every year.

"ALEXIS! HAYES!" I hear a voice scream.

I turn around and see Ashley, my best friend. With her is Noah, Hayes's best friend. Were all really close, we are kinda like the fantastic four.

"sleepover at our house tonight?" Hayes asks.

"no one will be home so Elizabeth said we can have guests." I add on.

They both agree and we head to class. They had a couple blocks with us here and there but not all like me and Hayes.

*bell rings*
We pack up our books and head onto the bus. Noah and Ashley are coming over at 5:30 so Hayes and I will probably just good around until then.

We get off the bus and I turn to Hayes,

"race ya" I smirk before running off.

He laughs and follows after me. I make it to the door first which is a surprise because normally he wins. I turn around and see him slowly making it up the driveway. I laugh at him and head inside. I head down to our room and collapse onto my bed. Hayes comes in the room and does the same, except he lands on me.

"HAYES! GET YOUR FAT ASS UP." I scream trying to push him off of me but failing.

"hmm the beds a little more lumpy than normal." he says as he readjusts himself, squishing me even more.

"HAYES PLEASE!" I scream again. "I'LL DO ANYTHING." I add.

"anything?" Hayes says. I can hear the smirk even though I can't see him.

"not like that Hayes!!!"

"fine." he says as he gets up and reaches his hand out to me.

"football then?" he asks.

"football it is." I smile.

I grab my clothes out of my drawer and start to change, Hayes does the same. I know you might think its weird that we change in the same room but Hayes stays on his side and I stay on mine. We don't look at each other, we just change quickly and get over it. We've known each other so long, its not a big deal.

After we finish football, we are completely covered in sweat and dirt. Its 5 and Ashley and Noah aren't coming until 5:30 so we decide to shower. I use the one in our bathroom ad Hayes takes his stuff upstairs to his moms shower. By 5:30 I have changed into a sport bra, one of Hayes's football sweatshirts and leggings. While Hayes has on a tee-shirt and basketball shorts, classic boy.

*knock knock*

"I'LL GET IT!" Hayes and I both scream running towards the door.

I beat him there and open the door for Ashley and Noah. (im gonna call Ashley, ash from now on). Hayes, unable to stop running, slams into me and we both fall onto the floor laughing hysterically. All four of us crack up laughing as they help us up.

Ash and I take her bags upstairs while Hayes and Noah do the same. We all meet back downstairs on the couch.

"soooo what do you guys wanna do?" Noah asks.

"I think we should have some kind of war." I say.

"YES, we can use water guns, water balloons, paint, food." Hayes chimes in.

"ooh ooh ooh and we have those paint ball things that Nash gave us for Christmas." I continue.

We stop talking when we notice Ash and Noah laughing.

"what?" we both say simultaneously.

"you guys are the same person, youre like soul mates." Ash says giggling.

Hayes and I both look down and awkwardly giggle.

"anyways.... Are you guys up for it??" I say breaking the awkward silence.

"YES!" they both scream.

"okay, let's break into teams. Girls and boys?" I suggest.

"you're on" Hayes and Noah say as they get up from the couch and run into the garage.
