Man kind made of glass

Dear man kind,
I am writing to you to ask of you one thing. That this is to ask of you if you can spot the similarities of a glass and a human being.

A glass has a outer layer to hold whatever kept inside stable and prevent it from spilling out. It's as though the outer layer of the glass, the part we grasp, is a safety barrier. If that barrier is broken or shattered the contents inside will spill out.

This is true, is it not? In my current research I have found that the human mind works the same. Our emotions are kept in a barrier as are our memories. These barriers keep certain parts of the mind separated, organised even. It is how our mind functions. If we mention something that reminds us of a memory or an emotion it is almost as if the actions of the emotions from that memory are unleashed through a small crack in the barrier.

For example a reminder of a relative that has died can trigger sad thoughts and negative emotions. This reminder could be a moment such as an action or a certain point in time: i.e - a date. It could also be from something seen or heard at the time of the sad memory.

This is exactly the same with other memories. So man kind do you see the similarities between a glass and a human being?

Both can hold something precious. They make it easy to grasp and hold onto for as long as you want even longer if possible, however if the outer layer is broken by the tiniest of cracks they can both shatter to the point of non-repair.

A human is like a glass fragile, beautiful and filled with the need to hold something close to their hearts.
