How love can form out of bad first impressions.
CHAPTER I __
It was the first week of school when a rumor spread that there's a transferee student. not just an ordinary transferee student. He came from another country. Riyadh. He's a freshman, and he was rumored as the replacement of a good-looking student named Daniel. His name is Victor.
Most of the girls find him cute, they even get butterflies. Alice, a transferee student too, got curious when she heard this hearsay. She wandered who this mysterious guy is, she wandered if the hearsays are true, if he was really cute or he's just another guy that girls overlooked as handsome.
Moment of truth arrives, as she waits for her next class inside the room, her new classmates gradually came in with disturbing loud noises. Her bestfriend Arielle told her that Victor was their classmate in that subject. He finally showed up and Arielle pointed him so Alice may see who the center-of-attraction is.
She had finally seen him. Impressions are forming. Finally, she came up with these things on her mind,
"Is that the guy that they were talking about?? Was he even handsome?? What kind of taste do they have?? He's completely not handsome for me. People are mediocre. Just because he came from Riyadh, they see him as handsome already? how pathetic! I will never get close to him, I will never befriend him"
CHAPTER II__
Their drama class was done, they were grouped into 5 groups with 6 members each. Alice was grouped with Ran, Kristine, Rissa, Ella and Victor. It was Saturday and they will perform on Monday.
No one has asserted their effort yet, this made Alice worry and finally, she decides to take action, what she did was to get the phone number of each member, and organized everything. The plan was to have their first and final practice on Sunday. Their meeting place was in front of the gate of school. 7am sharp.
SUNDAY MORNING.
It's a sunny day, it was only 5am, and Victor is already awake, preparing for the said practice. He arrived at the exact time. 7am sharp. Nobody is there yet. 5 minutes. He is still alone. 10 minutes. still, he's alone, 15 minutes. 15 minutes became 20, 30, 45 minutes, and yet no one still shows up. 1 hour had passed, finally Rissa arrived. another 15 minutes of the hour had passed, Ella did arrived.
Slowly it creeps in Victor's mind the anger that is building up for waiting way too long. it was past 9 when Alice arrived. It's written all over the face of Victor the look of a pissed man. But Alice didn't even noticed it. 10 more minutes and their group was complete. Then they decide where to have their practice.
Alice was trying to build some rapport among the group while trying to decide on the place. Little did she know, Victor was slowly pissed by her. He finds her too noisy and supercilious. He is so mad at her for telling him to go by 7am and followed her instruction only to find out that he'd wait like he's doing it for the rest of his life.
Now they have bad impressions on each other.
CHAPTER III
Monday morning. Day of their performance, it's not fully polished. but then, this is not enough reason for them to prolong the wait for their performance. Presentation of the performance started. After some groups did performed, it was now their turn to do so. Some things was altered and added spontaneously, like the holding of the hands of each member when they already sang. Unexpectedly, Alice and Victor hold hands because they were next to each other. Some of their classmates reacted and teased them. Yet, deep inside them, they can feel abhorrence.
One ordinary school day, craziness struck Alice and she had her hair curled by braids that her older sister Anna created. She decided not to destroy it and went to school that time.
As she opened the door of their room, Victor noticed her new look, he thought that it fits her. He finally then appreciate her. After that moment, he can't help but take glances on her like it's becoming his habit.
Victor then got curious on what is exactly going on with him, why does he feel like looking at her more oftenly. So he asked his new found friend because it's bothering him. Arden, told him that he might have a crush on Alice, maybe that's the reason why he is experiencing that weird glances he's taking. After moments of deliberating, he finally concluded that maybe what he is feeling is a sign of admiration, perhaps attraction.
