Leaving Hell (School)

Finally. The official last day of hell, I mean school. I've been going to the same prison for the past four years and am so happy to be graduating! Well... I already did graduate. But so happy to finally leave the small town of Omaha! Gosh. I mean Nebraska is cool and everything, just boring.

"Hey Spencer, can't believe it's the last day of school huh?" My best friend of all time Rhiana asked smiling brightly.

"Rhi you don't understand my excitement!" I yelped standing up and throwing my hands up.

"Spencer Johnson sit down right now or I will put you in detention for a week." The crabby lady I've had as a teacher for the past 4 years scolded.

I raised my hands in defense and sat back down, causing Rhiana to start giggling along with my friends around the class room.

"She's only mad because she has to stay here for the next seven years before retirement rolls over." Rhiana says flipping her blonde hair over her shoulder.

"And she hasn't been laid in like 12 years." Our friend Cameron states from behind us. He was one of my best friends as well. But also a major fuck boy.

"You would know." I joked and everyone laughed. I smiled and continued conversing with Rhi. She has dusty blonde hair and bright green eyes. Opposite of mine. She's average height and pretty skinny. She's incredibly smart and drop dead gorgeous. Luckily we both got accepted into pur dream college. The University of Florida. I know its pretty far away from Nebraska, but we both have families down there and we just love it there. Rhiana is super kind and extremely funny, which is a major plus if you're her best friend.

We continued our conversation of how our school day has been as the bell rang signaling us to go to our next class. The only reason we're still here is because we're carpooling and well our parents are forcing us to go.

"Yo Spence, are you packed?" I heard a familar voice behind me ask. I turn my head and see my brother Jack with a huge grin on his face.

"Yeah JJ, are you?" I asked holding the door open.

"Totally..." He slurred rushing past me, trying to hide the fact he isn't ready to leave yet. I laughed and walked down the hallway to my class. I was wearing a cute maroon colored shirt that matched my lipstick and a pair of skinny jeans to keep me comfortable. I walk into class and smile. This was my least favorite class, so happy I don't have to deal with this anymore.

I look around and see my teacher wasn't in there like they usually are. I took in a deep breath and smiled, looking over to the class in excitement. The class smiled and giggled.

"Yessss!" I breathed out in excitement. At that moment the door flew open and there stood the grinch I was trying to avoid. We made eye contact and the class just erupted with laughter behind me.

"SJ sit down this instant." They snap in disgust.

"Ma'am yes ma'am." I respond walking to the back where I usually sat. I smile over at my friends and they welcome me into the row of desks. We start small talk and the teacher smacks a ruler across my desk.

"What did I do?" I questioned and it actually smiled at me.

"Nothing, I just wanted to do that one last time." She smiled at me.

"Oh." I said shyly. "I might miss that." I laughed and so did she.

"Don't worry. I sent a letter to your future teachers telling them to keep a close eye on you." She winked and walked away. I smiled and turned to my group of friends talking about our summer plans.

"Man, Rhi. I might actually miss this place." I sighed walking out of the school doors at the end of the day. We began going through our school memories and laughing about this and that when a group of girls walked by snapping their fingers at each other. Rhiana and I look at each other, then back at the school, and back at each other.

"Na-ah" We shake our heads. We smile and start laughing as we walk to my car. First hour of freedom!
