Being an outsider isn't that bad. It just means nobody understands you. At least, that's what I tell myself. Lowest of the lows, confined to my own thoughts, a filthy, murdering assassin. At least my life isn't boring, at least I'm living on the edge. Sure, it is super hard to not be caught running around in O'khasis, the biggest village, but it's better than being a prissy wife, cooped up all day. Stereotypical. But I wasn't like that. I lived life on the edge, a few crimes, and then I would be on the run for a while.
Anyways, I had just stolen a valuable jewel, and there seemed to be at least five gaurds chasing me. Five doesn't seem like a lot, but for one person? That's a lot. At least there weren't a lot of patrols out today. I ran quickly through a small wall, too skinny for any gaurds to follow with their armour on. So as soon as I was far out of sword and arm reach, I was safe. I shimmied through the wall, and fled the scene on the other end. But, even though I'm known as a criminal, I've never actually stolen anything. I laid down the valuable, a necklace with jewels and such encrusted onto it, and continued to run. I ran to the far side of the wall, and then was careful to avoid the giant forest at all costs-just to be safe. I got lost in there once before, and stayed there for a while. Never again. Now I use a little boat which I hide off the shoreline.
Luckily it takes the gaurds a while to close and open the gate, so I could be gone by the time they had it open. I shoved the boat out from its spot and jumped in. I started to paddle away from the shore, and got intact with a breeze. The boat skipped away from O'Khasis, and I was on my way to the other end of the region, the home of Phoenix Drop, Picoro village, the places where I could stay with companions.

The journey was quick and easy, unlike my last mission, which had been hard. It had rained the entire time, and the ocean was turning, my small boat was almost capsized by the waves multiple times. But that didn't matter, I had arrived.
I pulled the boat onto the shore, picked up my bags and started to walk to our base. My (cc) hooded cloak had become wet at the ends, and my (hl) hair had the scent of ocean spray on it. I was finally safe from the gaurds of O'Khasis.
It was a two day hike to the base from where I was, but I had a spot where I could rest in between. I started on my trek.

The first day went by quickly, I was able to get to a small cave that I tended to camp at. It was only big enough for one person and their bag, so I stuffed my back into the back of the shallow dip. I wanted to make a fire, but it would attract attention, so I simply curled into a ball and started to sleep.
I woke up the next morning surrounded by frost and snow. I grabbed my bag and crawled out of the cave. It was still snowing, so I pulled out an under coat to keep me warmer. I pulled my cloak back onto my shoulders and closed my back back up. I pulled it onto my shoulders, and lifted my right foot to start walking again, but I felt a presence at the back of my neck. No, that's an understatement, a presence tapped the back of my neck, and stayed there. "Turn around and keep your hands up. I don't want to see you draw any weapon out," I turned around, face to face with the emerald sword of a brown haired man. He looked ready to fight me. "State your business," he thrust the sword closer to me, and I took a step backwards. "Just passing through," I didn't take my eyes off the blade. "Uh-huh, who are you? Some type of thief?" I still had my hands in the air, and they were begining to feel cold. "Umm, no. I'm a merchant," he didn't look to be pleased with my answer. "You're a merchant. Sure, why is a merchant out here, sleeping in a pit in the ground?" I stuttered. This guy was onto me. Maybe I could distract him. "Alrught, fine. I'm not a merchant. I am a theif but-" I tilted my head to look behind him, acting like something dangerous was behind him. "What are you-." I cut him off, "Don't move." He quickly zipped around, looking for an attacker that was nowhere to be seen. I quickly pulled out my sword, and put it against his back. "I'm a theif. I'm also a well-known assassin in O'Khasis," I stated simply. The man turned around quickly, and our swords clashed. "Well I'm good at combat," he pushed me back, blocking every move I had. I continued to slash at his sword, until he took the offense and pressed me even more, making it so that in order to avoid his blade I had to hold mine firmly. He quickly took mine and threw it far away. My hands recoiled, and I crouched low to the ground, thinking that I could talk my way out of the situation. "H-Hey, you know I was just kidding, right...?" He pushed me to the ground, and my bag opened, the contents inside-which were mainly food-spilled out. "Right?" I felt helpless, sitting there at the will of another. "You're not tricking me this time, theif," he hit my head with the butt of his sword and I fell unconscious.
