What Had Happend

It was a warm spring day when Jasmine was riding her bike around the block. On her way from riding her bike she stumbled across her boyfriends mom.
REGINA: Hey Jasmine, how are you on this warm lovely day?
JASMINE: Oh hello Regina I'm good how about you?
REGINA: I'm good
JASMINE: I didn't know you lived by here my house is just a couple houses down!
REGINA: Oh I don't live here, I'm here to see my daughter!
JASMINE: Oh Joseph never told me he had a sister
REGINA: Yea he doesn't talk about her much, he won't tell me why though.
JASMINE: Oh ( sigh)
REGINA: Can I tell you something? Joseph will probably hate me after this.
JASMINE: Sure I'm free to anything!
REGINA: Well my daughter moved out about 6 years ago and I never really knew why all I know is that she never wanted us to go see her and she basically wanted us out of her life and ever since she moved out she became... a rebel! She had a child, and I've never met him.
JASMINE: Oh my goodness wow I'm so sorry ( looks down)
REGINA: Joseph is in the car if you would like to talk to  him he doesn't want to see his sister.
Jasmine walks over as Joseph opens the car door.
JOSEPH: hey!
JASMINE: Hey want to walk over to my place, it's just a couple houses down?
JOSEPH: Sure!
REGINA: See you kids in a bit
Regina looking nervously as she walked over to the old rustic looking house that smelled like smoke from the cigarette buds.
JASMINE: So your mom told me about your sister, do you want to talk about it?
JOSEPH: Damn it she told you about that! ugh I can't believe her
JASMINE: ( sigh) I'm going to take that as a no.
JOSEPH: no it's fine I just get a little sensitive about this that's all.
JASMINE: So do you want to talk about it?
JOSEPH: Okay , I have to let go of the subject. So she left 6 years ago and about a year before that well she had a boyfriend real nice guy right, so I have this friend Damian. So she said she was going to his house I didn't know why but I didn't think much of it. She didn't come home about 4 hours later and I was watching tv while she walked in so I asked why were you at Damian's so long and she said swear you won't tell I said fine she said she had an affair with Damian's older brother.
JASMINE: Oh my, wow is that it?
JOSEPH: Yea I know there's more but she won't tell me, would you help me with something
JASMINE: Sure, anything.
JOSEPH: Will you help me find out what she did I know she did something horrible I just know it!
JASMINE: Well alright!
Jasmine and Joseph walk over to his sisters house and they walked over nervously as Jasmine said
JASMINE: Are you sure?
JOSEPH: Ring it!
JASMINE : Okay
Jasmine rings the doorbell as she heard crying in the distance and she could smell the smoke.
JASMINE: Umm hi I'm Jasm-
SOFIE: Joseph is that you?
JOSEPH: Yup it's really me ( he said in a quiet non enthusiastic voice)
Sofie puts down the cigarette on the tray.
SOFIE: Wow little bro it's really you! Ah shut up already stop Crying!! for goodness sake as she said to her child. Gosh damn it stop CRYING!!
JASMINE: Umm would you like me to take him inside so you guys can catch up?
SOFIE: Yea thanks.
Jasmine takes the little 6 year old into the house.
JOSEPH: So it's me, I'm here but can you tell me why you ran away please I know the affair wasn't the only reason.
SOFIE: Look little bro the cops have been looking for me after I had this snot head of a child I started selling drugs but let me tell you something, I turned myself in yesterday there going to come by and pick me up.
JOSEPH: What? what about your kid ?
SOFIE: His name is Daniel by the way. I don't really know maybe your mom will take care of him I don't really know.
JOSEPH: Well are you scared?
SOFIE: No but there's another reason why I left.
JOSEPH: What is it?
SOFIE: Well mom and da-
Sofie stops talking as she heard the cop siren
SOFIE: Well there here
COP: Come on let's go criminal.
DANIEL: Mommy wait where are you going
SOFIE: I love you my love see you again some other day I promise
DANIEL: MOMMY!!!! No don't leave me please
SOFIE: I lov-
COP: Get in the damn car
JOSEPH: Wait why did you le-
Cop car door slams shut.
Everyone watched as the cop car drove off.
JOSEPH: She didn't get to tell me why she left.
JASMINE: Well maybe we can write her a letter and we can find out and we can visit.
JOSEPH: I guess your right but we still have to go to court for her.
REGINA: How will she live in prison!!
JOSEPH: Mom Daniel ran off I don't know where he went.
Regina looks over the curb and saw him running trying to keep up with the cop car which was already gone.
REGINA: Daniel stop running your mom will be gone for a while!
DANIEL: Okay fine!
JASMINE: well what did she say?
JOSEPH: She was a drug d-dealer ( he muttered)
JASMINE: Oh my gosh are you okay?
JOSEPH: I'm fine I just need some time alone. JASMINE: Yea if you need anything let me know okay.
