Chapter 3 Reunion

"WELCOME TO KONOHA!!!!" Kiba yells with excitement. It went silent, I didn't know what to say.

"So what do you think, Cool huh?" Kiba says with a giant grin on his face.

"Well.....Its a town alright" I say sarcastically. Kiba sweat drops. He grabs my wrist and starts to pull me down a street.

"Where are we going?" I ask as I try not to trip, trying to keep up with him.

"You said you were hungry right, well I'm taking you to the best ramen shop in this town......ICHIRAHU!" Kiba states as he speeds up. My wrist was starting to hurt, as he was still holding on to it. Kiba finally stops in front of a small little shack.

"Hey More Ramen Please!!!" I hear a boy yell from inside the shack We walk inside and Kiba sits next to the boy while I sit next to Kiba.

"OH Hey Kiba!!!!" The boy says loudly. He then look at me a curious face. "Hey who is that girl?.....Is she you girlfriend?" He says with a creepy face.

"No you dunce, that is the girl I saved remember." Kiba says while hitting the boy on the head.

The boy then gets up and walks over to me. "Hi my name is Naruto, and i'm gonna be Hokage someday." He says while rubbing his head.

"Good to know, I'm Shizuka" I reply back in an annoyed voice. He realized that I didn't care and walked back to his seat and started talking to Kiba. I order my ramen, as I was waiting I sat there thinking of what happened in the forest,and how Kiba saved me. The man behind the counter set the ramen in front of me, I thanked him and started to eat. As I was eating a man walks in and just stares at Kiba, Naruto and I.

"Which one of is Kiba?" he says harshly.

"I am" Kiba says as he stands up. The man and Kiba walk outside for a minute, then the man vanishes. Kiba walks back in. "Shizuka we need to go, the Hokage wants to meet you." He grabs my wrist again, gives the old man some money for the food, and pulls me out of the shack. We start walking again, but this time Kiba let go of my wrist. We finally come up to this really big building. We walk inside and go up a bunch of stairs. We finally were in front of a big door where a ninja was standing outside. When the man saw us he opened the door and poked his head in. He pulled his head out and opened the door.

"You guys may go in" He says. We walk inside and see a old man with a weird hat on sitting at a desk.

"Hello Kiba nice to see you again" The man says kindly. He then turned to me.

"You must be Shizuka." He states. I nod my head in agreement.

"Well if your going to be in my village, I thought I should meet you. I am the Hokage." he says with a big smile on his face.

"Uh hi, as you know already my name is Shizuka Hayashi. I am from the sand village." I say while leaning my head down as a sign of respect.

" There is no need for that, you are always welcome here, but there is the matter of your headband." he says with concern in his voice. I look down at my thigh and untie my headband from it.

"If it alright with you Hokage, I would like to become part of the leaf village ninjas. I have no reason going back to the sand village, my parents were killed, and now my brother is dead, so now I have nothing there." I say while holding back the tears. I look over at Kiba to see the look in his eyes, the look of guilt. 'I shouldn't have said that' I thought to myself.

"I see no reason you cant become a leaf village ninja, but we will have to put you in a team, unfortunately we have no teams of 2 that need another person, so I will have to put you in a team that has 3 people in it already. I will see what I can do and call for you later" The hokage pauses as he starts to clear his throat. "I will look into getting you an apartment but for now I will have you stay at the..."

"She can stay with my family, we have lots of room." Kiba states while cutting the Hokage off.

"Well there you have it, you will stay with Kiba and his family." He says

"Thank you so much you have no idea how much this means to me." I say. He then dismisses us, not before giving me my new hidden leaf ninja headband that I put back on my thigh. We walk back outside, I see the guilt all over Kiba's face. I give him a hug.

"Its ok, don't feel guilty for what you did." I whisper into his ear before letting go of him. He then smiles as we start walking to his house.

"Um actually, I have to do something first. Do you know where Shikaku Nara lives?" I ask.

"Uh ya I do, I hang out with his son a lot, why?" He asked suspiciously

"No reason, can you take me there first, please?" I ask. He nods his head and we start walking to the Nara Clan residents. When we get there Kiba knocks on the door. A boy about are age opens the door. He had black hair in a spiky ponytail, a fish net shirt on, and a grey jacket over it. He also had his headband around his fore arm.

"Hey, Kiba.... who's she?" He said lazily

"Hey Shikamaru, is your dad home, she needs to talk to him?" Kiba asked for me. The boy known as Shikamaru nods and lets us in. we walk down a hallway until we get to a room with a table and pillows to sit on.

"You guys can wait here, i'll get him" He says and walks away. We waited for a few minutes until a tall man with the same hairstyle as Shikamaru and 2 scars on his face walks in. I stand up and bow. He looks at me strangely. I reach into my pocket and pull out a letter. I hand it to him and he opens it. His eyes widen as he reads it. He keeps looking from the letter to me and back to the letter. He finally stops reading and sits down. I sit down on the other side of the table.

"Kiba, Shika, will you excuse us for a second" he says nicely. Kiba and Shikamaru walk out of the room with curious faces.

"So, shes dead?" He asks trying not to look at me.

"Yes, she is, she told me if something ever happens to her to come to you.....Dad" I say.
