The hospital is about a 7 hour drive into the middle of nowhere, I guess its for if one of us goes apeshit and tries to escape they can find us with ease, we can't exactly blend into the crowd when there is no crowd. I would be spending the rest of the year there (which is about 9 months). I'm pretty upset about it but at least it'll make things easier on dad, I'm probably a lot of trouble for him and he could use this vacation from me to actually relax and not be stressed out about his daughter killing herself.
We finally get there and lug my few suitcases up to the main lobby. Its pretty quiet for a place with plenty of people in it, A few nurses and doctors are walking around, police guards circle the front but its so soundless other then a few murmurs and gentle conversation from one member of the staff to another.
A pretty, quite young, nurse with fire truck red hair cut short and messily greeted us. She wore dark makeup around her eyes but it was obvious she was quite breathtaking even without it. She was short-set and seemed friendly so I thought I may as well be nice, I mean, I am gonna be stuck here for another few months. Her voice was soft and very soothing "may I help you young one?" she asked airily, "what's your name? May I help you with your luggage?" I answered back in the smallest voice I could manage "Alexandra Neeley" she looked at me with an expression with absolute happiness and knowledge, -which was as creepy as it was inviting. Her soft green eyes became even more enlarged then they were to begin with"Neeley you say? What a beautiful last name, yes, You're room 39, I'll take you right there after me and the guards check your luggage, its just a safety measure dear" It was amazing on how small set this woman was, yet she was able to carry my luggage without any strain, I guess you need to be strong to work with crazies.
She walked over to the guards which gave me the opportunity to say a last goodbye to my father, I kissed him on the cheek and hugged him tightly- without warning a tear slid down my face, I knew what was about to happen since it's happened so many times before, I uncontrollably fell into his arms sobbing. The pretty nurse came back over and asked me to follow her away. As I pulled away I saw tears flowing down his cheeks too. "I love you, Dad" I whispered as I walked away. He stayed silent as I was taken away, Down the hall, Up an elevator to floor 6, down another hallway, I turn to the right...to the left...another left, I lost track after that. The halls had so many twists and turns, maybe so Its harder for people to leave when they shouldn't?
Or when they should.
