Rant on Mikasa's "overprotectiveness"

People think Mikasa is too over protective over Eren and that she should loosen up a bit. People think she wants Eren all to herself. Some people dislike her.

I personally think yeah, she is quite protective of Eren. But it don't see why you'd dislike or hate her for it. Don't you guys remember how both her parents- and probably her only immediate family, was brutally murdered? She was then adopted by eren's family. Wouldn't she be at least a bit concerned for Eren after all that happened? She wouldn't want to loose the only family she has left. I mean, Eren is constantly going out and fighting Titans and shit. It's his job, sure, but have you seen how many main characters where killed off by Titans? (Eren's mom, who could have been an important character, Marco, Petra, etc.) Eren almost died in many of these cases. Of course Mikasa would be protective! Her being protective of Eren has made her seem like she's hogging Eren or she wants him all to herself or something, but she's just protecting the only other person closest to her, besides Armin.

Honestly, if I were Mikasa, I'd be the most protective person there is.

Just imagine, your parents are dead and you watched it happen, you're kidnapped, you're recused by a boy and you move in with his family. It's not your biological family, but it's all you have. Fucking Titans everywhere pretty soon. You adoptive mother dies, and your adoptive father is nowhere to be found. The only person you have close to family is a guy who's almost killed more than once fighting Titans. Sure, you have another really close friend, but he's not your family.
Why wouldn't you be at least worried?

"Mikasa, I'm going to go fight Titans, I might die for real this time."

"Yeah, okay, see ya."

I mean, Mikasa may be protective to the max, but there's most likely reasons, and there isn't really a reason to hate her for that.

Sorry the start of this book is just a rant, but I've been thinking it for a while.
