Peridot's POV

Highschool. I thought.
It was my first day of junior highschool and here I am, cowering to enter. Since it's my first time enrolling to an actual school it's quite hard for me to socialize with people. All I ever do is lay on my bed, playing online games, and listen to music. I never had actual communication to anyone since I only live alone in a mansion my mom gave to me when she died. My father? I never had seen him. Though my mom often spoke of him I never met him in person.
Enough with my backstory, I better enter or else I'll be late.

I entered the school called Gem High, and I had a HARD TIME finding my classroom. I was about to give up when something bumped into me, well Someone.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking on where I was going" the person said.

"It's fine. People bump into me all the time. It's like I'm invisible." I got a better look at the person and noticed that she was a female.

She giggled at my statement.
Cute. Wait, WHAT?? No Peridot you just met her, THINK STRAIGHT!

"Um, is there something that I said?"
I said.

"Oh! Nothing! I just think you're funny. By the way I'm Lapis, Lapis Lazuli." She smiled and raised her hand waiting for me to shake it.

I smiled back and held her hand and said "Peridot." Before shaking her hand.

"So, what section are you at?" She asked.

"I'm at P16. You?" I replied.

"Oh! Looks like we're at the same section." She smiled.

I noticed we we're still holding hands and quickly let go of her hand. Awkward.

"Umm... Do you know where the room is? I'm kinda lost." I said.

She giggled again. Was there something I said again? I waited till she stopped giggling.

"Ofcourse! I'll show you where." She said.

"Oh thanks!" I said. She starts walking and I follow. I noticed she walked into a door right beside us and I read the sign that wrote P16.

I tried to hold my laughter to avoid attention. Now I know why she's giggling. There was only a few people inside the room and I knew why. It's just 6 am and our class starts at 7. I started searching for a seat when someone called me.

"Hey Peridot!" I turned my attention to the voice and found Lapis waving at me. I sat next to her and we chatted for minutes.

"So you live alone?" She said.
"Yeah ever since my mom died." I replied.
"Oh! Sorry about that." She said.
"No worries." I said.

We fell silent for a while and saw a teacher come inside.

"Hello class! My name is Rose Quartz. But you can call me Ms. Rose. I will be your advicer for the year, and since you are already sitted, your partner for the year will be the one sitting next to you." She said.

I could feel Lapis look at me so I look back at her. When I did she quickly looked down so I just listened to the teacher. She was talking about stuff that I already knew so I just zoomed out while she was still talking.

"Hey, you ok?" Lapis said.
"Hmm? Oh, yeah why?" I said.
"You're looking at the wall not blinking for a few minutes." She said.
"Really? Heh, must've zoomed out a bit." I replied.
"Anyways, Ms. Rose said we have a new project with our partner, which is us, can I come over at your place to work on it?" She said.
"Sure, I have nothing to do anyways. Plus, I have the house all by myself." I said. She giggled. That giggle again.
"Okay, after school?" She said.
"After school." I replied.
She smiled and listened to Ms. Rose again. I did the same.

Ms. Rose finished discussing some stuff and said

"That's all for today, Go and have your lunch." And left the room.

I can't believe I'm saying this...
"Hey Lapis, ugh wanna have lunch with me?" I said.
"Sure, why not?" She replied.

We walked out of the room and started heading for the cafeteria.
Then Lapis started running to a table.

"Hey guys! I'd like you to meet a new friend of mine." She said and pointed to my direction.
"Umm...Hi? I'm Peridot." I said awkwardly.

They all looked from Lapis to me repeatedly as if they're thinking of something. Then one of them decided to speak.

"Hey! I'm Steven by the way." He said. He looked like a gradeschool to me. Then another one spoke.

"Yo, I'm Amethyst. That's Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire, and Connie." She said as she started pointing at them while she spoke their names.

"Hi." They said in unison. I just waved at them, not to be rude.

We got our food and sat at the table.
When suddenly.

"Hey! What are you doing sitting beside MY Lapis?!" A muscular girl said.

"Leave her alone Jasper. And I was never yours!" Lapis returned to this stranger which I think her name is Jasper.

"You runt better stay away from her." Jasper whispers angrily at me then walked away.

"Sorry about Jasper, She's just a big cheeto puff." Lapis said.

"I heard that!" Jasper said.

"I wouldn't care if you did!" Lapis snaps back. Jasper just grunts and left the cafeteria.

"It's fine." I said trying to change the situation. What a way to have lunch.

We finished our food and went to our rooms for our next subjects.

After school, I walked outside the school.

"Hey Peridot! Are we going to your house already?" Lapis said.
Damn almost forgot Lapis is coming over.
"Umm...Better early right?" I said.
"Hm, guess you're right." She said.

I led her to my car and unlocked the doors for her.

"You have a car?" She said.
"Oh, yeah I guess I do." I replied.

We went in and I started the car, headed to my house.

What do you think? Should I make a chapter for a perspective of Lapis? I'm gonna make a lot of chapters for y'all and when I say a lot I mean A LOT, but it might cause a lot of time. But I'll try to update 1 chapter per day. Luv ya
