Parents.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love my parents, but...
Let's face it; I'm not the only teenager who finds her parents just a little bit much sometimes.
For example:
I'm still not allowed to have a phone.
They don't want me to have an Instagram account, or post anything.
They're still iffy about me having a boyfriend.
They don't want me drinking coffee (although that's understandable, because I get SUPER hyper when I have any kind of caffeine).
My entire family talks too loud, so when we're watching a TV show, it's impossible to hear what I'm watching. I often have to pause it until they're done talking.
They're homophobes.
I swear, we were watching a movie, and there were these 2 gay characters.
What does my Dad say?
"Ugh, do they have to ruin every movie?"
I'm a HUGE LGBTQC supporter.
So, surely, you can see my dilemma, right?
But, I'll never stop being grateful to my parents, no matter how overbearing they can be sometimes.
They took me into their home.
They raised me.
They loved me.
Oh, did I forget to mention that I'm adopted?
Yeah, I'm adopted. XP
So, even though they can be trying, sometimes, I love them.
And I might not always show it, but I'll NEVER stop being grateful for all they've done for me.
How do you thank someone for that?
Are any of you adopted?
Do you know anyone who's adopted?
You probably do.
Because, sadly, it's not that uncommon anymore.
Every day, some poor kid is being bounced from one house to another.
Do you understand that?
How that feels?
Getting attached to a family...
Then being sent away?
That constant feeling that no one wants you?
It's sad, is what it is.
These kids are in constant need.
All they want is to be loved.
And no one notices.
No one cares.
Okay, I just realized that I REALLY trailed away from the original subject.
I can't help it. J
Anyway, do any of you know what I'm talking about?
About either of those subjects, Adoption or Overbearing Parents?
Surely some of you must.
Because there is no possible way that I'm the only one who feels this way.
Right?
Right.
So, I guess I'll see you guys next time.
Byyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
