Flashback:
I climbed and scurried through networks of hidden passages and alleyways as I scrambled to the top. The bell had rang. The Titans were coming. I quickly reached the top and looked closely at the scene that spread out in front of me. My eyes darted around quickly trying to catch a glimpse of them before it was too late.Suddenly, I saw them. The titans. I watched and observed them with admiration while they stumbled around. I was fascinated by their behaviours and resemblence to us. I was filled with a feeling that was hard to describe, love perhaps? Or devotion, either way I was interested in these intriguing creatures.
*some time later*
I met up with a friend, Lawrence. He was an information broker who also happened to be my best friend. We often exchanged information we had heard.
" Hey Lawzy," I greeted him a lazy smile.
"Tch, don't call me that," he muttered.
Lawrence was rather short for his age which had always bothered him. He had always been the rebel from day one so it bothered when others perceived him as weak although he was anything but. He was not only skilled in hand to hand combat but could also probably pick any lock before you could scream "mummy".
Lawrence had a face that was both sensitive and reckless at the same time with a small chin and strong jawline. His thin brown brows always seemed to be frown making his face seem sour even though he was just born that way. His eyes however were his own. Lawrence had a pair of icy grey eyes with a tint of blue and green that pierced your soul and could see your very depths as if he knew your sins. Lawrence had silky straight mahogany hair that he kept cropped back
"There, I got you the letter," he pouted, and held the letter out to me. The letter was clean cut and had a red ribbon tying it up, excusing a couple creases and crumbs from being in his pocket.
"Thanks," I said smiling, "Here."
As well as an information broker, he did odd jobs for the capital and was somewhat favoured by the higher ups for his quick thinking and abilities.
I gave him a small bottle of pills and a slab of high quality ham. You could say it was a tradition. Sometimes when I have the money, in exchange for information and such, I would give him a bottle of pill shaped candies that he could eat even in front of superiors and say that they're his medication as he had a sweet tooth and a slab of homemade ham. Meat in this poverty-stricken place was scarce so I couldn't afford it too often.
I luckily made it home without people noticing no then quickly packed my most precious belongings. The Wanderer's Shop was going to have to close for a while now.
I flipped the sign and locked the door,
