After the whole Kool-Aid commotion, I shooed everybody out and took at nice shower. I kept on thinking about Soda, for some reason. He was, like, glued to my mind. And what he said today, sort of surprised me. But, it made my heart thump faster than ever. Is it possible that I'm developing a crush on him? Nah, I'm being delusional.
I got out of the shower when I finished and wrapped myself in a towel, before making my way to my room. Good thing the guys weren't looking. It would of been awkward if they were. Anyway, I changed into a grey, sleeveless, Mickey Mouse t-shirt and put on a pair of ripped skinny jeans. I, then, slipped on my favorite black and white converse and fixed my hair. Okay, I think I'm all set. Oh, I almost forgot, my different colored bangles and bracelets. I don't wear them a lot, but I wanted to, today. I slipped them onto both of my wrists and walked out of my room.
After looking myself in the mirror, I made my way to the living room. But then I heard Soda and Steve talking about some rodeo or something like that.
"I can't wait to take Sandy to the rodeo tonight, it's our 5th month anniversary" Soda exclaimed. I stopped dead in my tracks. He's already taken? My shoulders slumped without me even realizing it. Why am I so hurt by this? I shouldn't be. Unless... I think I do like Soda.
"Hey Angel, where are you going so dolled up?" Everybody's eyes darted over to me. I didn't know what to say, since I was upset about Soda being taken.
"U-Um, out, I guess" I replied.
"You guess? Who're you going with?" I shrugged.
"A friend, I'll be back later, so don't wait up!" I walked out the front door and into the streets. I kicked around little rocks as I started walking towards town. Maybe I can catch a movie at the theater. I hear that they're showing a really cool action movie. A movie with explosions and shooting and a really cute guy who keeps saving a certain girl and soon ends up falling for her.
I want a love life like that. With a really cute bad boy who rides motorcycles and drives cars all dangerously fast and stuff. He'll be a good fighter and save me all the time. He'll be really protective of me and won't leave me when we have fights. This guy will be the kind to love spending time with me, even though he won't show it at first or admit it to himself. And he will be the guy for me.
I've been so lost in thought that I didn't notice that I went a totally different direction than I intended. Where am I? An empty lot, maybe? I don't know, and worse of all, I have no idea how to get back. Great, now I'm lost, that's just... prefect. Just perfect.
Suddenly, I felt like as if I wasn't alone. Fear struck from inside me as I quickened my pace to get away from this place, not even knowing where I was going. Out of the blue, I was grabbed by the arm.
"Where do you think you're going?" I turned around, coming face to face with a pair of cold, brown eyes. They guy smirked at me as he took in every inch of my body. I tried to pull my arm away, but he had a firm grip that seemed to tighten every time I tried to pull away.
"Let me go, please" I said, my voice getting a bit squeaky.
"If you accept my invitation to the Dingo" he replied. I weakly nodded and he released me. That's when I made a run for it. I was a better runner than a fighter, so if I don't get away, then I'm screwed. The guy and his group ran after me, getting closer and closer to me. I screamed, hoping someone would hear me, but sadly, I was alone in this one.
Suddenly, someone grabbed my wrist and pulled me back, causing me to fall. I landed on my back, which gave the group of guys the opportunity to hold me down.
"Stop! Leave me alone!"
"We don't take orders from little girls, hunny" one of the guys said. I kicked him in the down under and was able to get away. Instantly, I made a run for it again, heading towards the street.
