Saturday morning. The Blue Eagles just finished practice. It's their last practice before the game against La Salle tomorrow.
Coach Bo decided not to have an afternoon practice to give the boys a good rest before the game. He then gave his final instructions for the day.
After Coach Bo's instructions, the boys immediately freshened up.
"Thank God, no more practice." Ryan said with a huge grin plastered on his face.
"May date ka na naman no? Focus Paps, we have a game tomorrow" Nico commented.
"Kaya nga Paps. I need my inspiration. Alis na ko. Bye mga Paps. I'll see you guys tomorrow" Ryan said then picked up his things and hurriedly went out of the locker room.
"Eto talagang si Ryan. May inspiration pang nalalaman." Frank Golla, the cocaptain, said then took his phone out and dialled something. "Matawagan din nga yung inspiration ko."
Jepoy Erram threw his towel. "Isa ka pa Paps!" Then everyone in the locker room laughed.
"Looks like everybody got their own inspiration except me and Kiefer." Chris Newsome commented after the laughter ceased.
"Excuse me Paps. Ikaw na lang ang wala." Von said and gave Kiefer a knowingly smile.
"Oy ano yan? Ba't di namin alam yan?" Juami Tiongson, the captain, joined the conversation and gave Kiefer and Von a questioning look.
"Kiefer got his eyes fastened on my bestfriend?" Von said as a matter of fact.
"What? Kiefer's your bestfriend. Narcissistic lang ang peg?" Nico asked. Everybody looked confused.
"Oops sorry, my other bestfriend, I mean." Von corrected.
"Samantha?" Juami inquired.
"Yep." Von answered quickly.
"Hoy, parang wala lang ako dito ah. I can hear you!" Kiefer said and threw Von death glares.
"Totoo naman ah." Von said defensively. If looks can kill, Von died in an instant.
"Well, I'm not shocked. Samantha's a good catch. Smart. Beautiful. Big Heart. Funny too." Juami said.
"You know her Cap?" Kiefer looked at his captain. Confused.
"Yeah. Sino ba ang hindi? She knows Casey." Casey's Juami's girl.
"Sam and Kiefer officially met just during Simmy's birthday." Von explained.
"Ah kaya pala." Chris said.
"What? Kilala mo rin siya Paps?" Kiefer turned to Chris, then to the whole team.
"Yep," the whole team except Kiefer said.
"We joined her fundraising event last time." Earl Murphy said. Now Kiefer looked disconcerted.
"Huh? What fundraising? How come I wasn't invited?" Kiefer asked totally confused.
"Paps, masyado ka na kasing sikat. I think you had a shoot for some commercial when Sam asked help from me for her event. I asked the team kung pwede rin silang tumulong. They said yes so ayun. They met Sam." Von explained to his bestfriend.
"Yes Paps, you missed that opportunity." Chris commented seeing the regret on his teammate's face.
"We can't blame you for having a crush on Sam. Maganda naman talaga at mabait pa." Vince Tolentino joined the conversation.
'"Hoy Vince may girlfriend ka na! Kayo rin!" Kiefer reminded his teammates.
"I don't have." Chris stood up and put his arms on Kiefer's shoulders. "But don't worry. She's all yours."
