The Reunion

I sat at the table in front of the café anxiously waiting for Ib to show up. "Why am I getting nervous? She's just a little girl!" I said out loud. The woman across the way looked at me with disgust. Oh shit did I say that out loud? I thought to myself. I smiled and laughed nervously, which scared off the lady. I placed my head on the table," Why can't I be normal?" I said out loud. "Well I think you're normal." I heard a girls voice and looked up, it was Ib. "IB! Hi sorry I uh- here take a seat. Wow you grew up I barely recognize you!" My words stumbled all over. Ib giggled and sat down. She was all grown up now, her hair was longer, she was taller, and she has one hell of a figure. A waitress came by," What can I get for you guys today?" She said. " Tea and the strawberry macaroons please." Ib said. " And for you sir?" The waitress asked, "uh a coffee please".  I sat there blushing, Ib is so beautiful now, she isn't that little girl I used to know. That's when I remembered the hanker chief,"I almost forgot, here a promise is a promise." I said while handing her the hanker chief. She looked at me dissatisfied, " I don't want it!" She pouted. "Huh? Why not?" I said confused, " because if you don't keep it, I might not be able to see you again" she said looking down. " Of course I'll come and see you again, in fact you can come visit whenever now that I will be working in the hospital downtown" I said. Ib's head popped up with a smile," you mean you're here to stay?! Yay I'm so happy" she said. Ib flung herself over the tabletop and gave me a hug. Wow she's got a big pair, WAIT WHAT AM I THINKING, She's a little girl! I thought to myself. The waitress came by and gave us our drinks. We sat at the café for another hour catching up, and it began to rain.
