sometimes words enter your mind, and they come so easily at the time that you must write them down. yet when you look at them later they don't seem to fit quite right with any existing stories you have. they seem to have taken on a life of their own. they seem to stare at you stubbornly and say, "here i am and here i stay. i'll not be moved." and no matter how hard you push them, they do not budge. so eventually, you give up and let them be. eventually you have notebooks filled up with these sorts of words and you make your peace with the fact that not everything belongs in a story or poem. some words simply are. they just exist. this is a place for those sorts of  words.
