First of all, My apologies on this delayed chapter and for any spelling/grammar, or even name/age errors. I haven't been writing much of this story- obviously. And I don't really remember much, so if I messed it up just tell me and I'll try to fix anything I've messed up.

Anyway, really hope you like it and sorry for the huge writer's block I suffered!

Chapter 18

Nikole 22

6 years later-

"Mama! Daddy's home!" Tommy squealed bounding for the door as he heard Ty's car pull into the garage. I was close behind my son and got there just in time to see him throw himself into Ty's arms.

I watched Ty kiss his son's forehead. And while Tommy began jumping around to tell Ty his latest adventures with his Papa. Ty let him slide back down to the floor and came to me his eyes warm and inviting. I wrapped my arms around his neck. Ty amazed me. He was so different then only a few years ago. His hands were smooth uncalloused and his skin un-scarred. I pulled back and brushed my finger over his scarred brow.

   "I missed you, Nikki."

"I missed you, too, so much." I felt my throat ache with held back tears. He kissed me then. Tommy howled and covered his eyes as he ran around screaming that his daddy was now infected with 'girl cooties'.

"Tommy, your momma doesn't have cooties." Ty said releasing me with a sweet smile and kneeling down- still in his military uniform to talk to his son and unlace his boots.

"She doesn't?" Tommy asked full of awe at his father's information.

"Of course, she doesn't. She's your momma. And she's my mate. Cooties go away after you find your mate." Ty smirked at the awe written all over Tommy's young face. So he looked back up at me.

"You really don't have cooties, momma?"

"No. I kiss you and you're cootie free." I say and then amazement sets in when he realizes his daddy is right. Ty watches Tommy bound around the corner into his bedroom.

"How are you, baby?" he asks looking up at me from the floor while moving to his knees.

"I'm okay." I tell him and his hands slip to my stomach petting gently at the barely there bump. Then he leans forward and rubs his cheek against my belly, before kissing it.

"You're so beautiful." He whisperers and I run my fingers through his hair. "I love you."

"I love you, too, Ty. I really do." I promise, just like the night of my graduation. the night he proposed to me. His eyes darken and he raises slowly to his feet never taking his eyes from mine.

"I know." He says and leans in for a kiss, but Tommy pops his head around the corner.

"Daddy, come tuck me in. I've been waiting for you." Tommy yawns and rubs his eyes with his fists.

"Go, lie down and wait for me, baby." He says into my ear brushing a quick warm kiss to my neck. Then he's scooping up little Tommy. Tommy doesn't miss a beat. Unlike when i'd pick up our son, Tommy seems to just drape himself over Ty's shoulder and rub the back of his daddy's neck. Ty stops and whispers something to Tommy.

"Goodnight, momma. I love you." He blows me a kiss. I can't help but smile and catch his kiss before quickly blowing him one of my own.

I waited in our bed for Ty. When he came in he smiled at me and his eyes lit up beautifully.
