CHAPTER 1

Baekhyun walked through the corridors of his school. Hand in his jeans pockets, his shirt's sleeves folded so that his elbows were barely visible. His shirt untucked, tie slightly loose, light brown locks fell on his forehead and his face held a smile. He greeted both juniors and seniors as he walked by them receiving greetings as well. He entered the lunch hall and went straight to his table where his friends were already seated. He greeted them and sat next to Tao who was munching on his sandwich. Kyungsoo passed him a lunch tray that he gladly accepted." How was the meeting?" , asked suho with his usual motherly smile. " it was fine, boring, but fine. Thanks for buying me lunch though" , Baekhyun replied as he munched on his sandwich. He received another smile and a pat on the head in return," figured you'd be late so I decided to buy for you", "mhm thanks". Kyungsoo poked Baekhyun's arm," He's staring at you again", Everyone looked towards the direction Kyungsoo was pointing at even xiumin and luhan looked from where they are too engrossed in their conversation sitting next to suho, and sure enough kyuhyun was there staring at Baekhyun with his usual smirk not even blinking."ugh, when will he get tired. I've already rejected him. God he's so creepy"."Maybe you should tell your parents about it or a teacher. I mean he's practically a stalker he even followed you home a few times" came the wise advice from xiumin,"Nah, don't wanna worry them. Plus that'll give my mom another point in her speech of "find a mate quickly before you turn eighteen". She already has enough points already. Plus I can handle him. He's a beta I can probably kick his ass in a fight if it came down to it.". Next to him Kyungsoo snorted," He's an alpha , you idiot, you cant take him down and he wont fight you that's for sure.he likes you too much for that. But for God's sake at least try to find out what you're dealing with.". " ok,Mom". That earned him a slap on the head."Wow sassy aren't we", came the snarky remark from the dark skinned alpha who with his group of friends were now standing around their table"."Fuck off" Kyungsoo's reply was dry void of emotions. "I'd gladly fuck you",Kyungsoo turned red from a mix of emotions, embarrassment, anger, rage but mostly anger. At the other side of the table, Chen was constantly pestering xiumin who was getting more and more irritated by the second if his twitching eye was any sign he was gonna explode soon. Baekhyun saw Kyungsoo tightly clenching his fists and so before Kyungsoo could lose his temper, Baekhyun decided to pipe in. With his usual sweet smile but a hardness in his eyes he spoke," Now aren't those inappropriate words. I'm very nice and all as a person but I hardly ever tolerate such indecent words in my presence. So you should filter your worlds don't you think?".Kai's smirk only grew wider and he turned his head to glance at his brother standing behind him, who Baekhyun only now that he looked was looking at him like a piece of meat or like he was undressing him with his gaze with a smirk on his face. It made Baekhyun want to lower his heading because he couldn't bare the intensity of the gaze . But he didn't instead he kept his head held high."I'll consider that but I need something in return",Kai was getting on his nerves now but he kept his smile plastered on his face, " what do you want?", As an answer Kai bent down so that his face was right next to kyungsoo' s who froze at his spot, looked up at Baekhyun and patted kyungsoo's head," Him" he said as If he was asking for an apple not a person. Baekhyun mentally saluted himself for keeping his anger in control and not punching Kai in the face because he was the vice president and he was supposed to be responsible and being rash wouldn't help their case seeing as they were omegas and the opposing team were all alphas. Man this sucked.His lips twitched and he hoped Kyungsoo didn't lose it now. But he was surprised when Kyungsoo put his palm on Kai face and pushed It back not enough for it to be a slap or a push but enough that kai would back off.Then he spoke in that calm, sweet voice that meant satansoo was loose, " Excuse me but you're in my personal space and I don't appreciate people doing that so if you would back off. And ill say it once but if your small almost non existent brain can't understand it then I'll repeat it again and again as many times as it takes for you to understand, " stay away from me"". His expression was soft, eyes crinkling into crescents and mouth forming that heart shaped smile his voice soft but his words razor sharp containing so much venom.Kai as well as everyone else on the table, had wide eyes. Kai's eyes darkened and his smirk told a whole different story now. He was angry and Baekhyun internally groaned because this was going to get dirty he was about to interrupt again but was beaten by chanyeol who placed a hand on Kai's shoulder. The gesture calmed him down and he leaned forward so that he was only a few mere inches away from the now standing Kyungsoo and spoke in a hushed tone that was more like a whisper but was loud enough for Baekhyun and his friends to hear," I'll back off now but soon I'll be all over your personal space and I wont back off even if you scream or cry or use this sassy attitude of yours. You wont be able to run and you wont be able to hide. You'll be all mine". He said the last bit while ghosting his hand on Kyungsoo's cheek who was frozen at his spot and visibly shuddered at the touch and in the next moment he was turning away and stalking off with the rest of his friends that included lay, the new transferee kris , Chen , sehun and finally Chanyeol who had the audacity to pat Baekhyun on the cheek because he was still stupefied by what Kai had said while hosting the same smirk and following his brother. This wasn't the first time they had a face off with that group of alphas but it always ended when they ignored them but this time they had went too far and Kyungsoo had snapped and now they were in deep shit.

Everyone at the table was quiet still not able to swallow what had happened. no one was talking. Kyungsoo was trembling but refused to break down because at some tables distance sat Kai and his group observing them and Kyungsoo wouldn't give them the pleasure of knowing that his words had an effect on him. Luhan and Xiumin were shooting worried glances from Kyungsoo to Baekhyun and back to Kyungsoo unsure of how to comfort them. Tao looked scared. Suho was holding Kyungsoo's hand trying to comfort him. Baekhyun was feeling a mix of anger and bewilderment. He couldn't believe what had happened and couldn't think of what to do next. Because the message was clear Kai had declared kyungsoo his and he was going to do anything and everything and he was gonna get kyungsoo. But what scared him even more was that Chanyeol's gaze delivered the same message Kai's words did and his gaze was directed towards Baekhyun. Baekhyun shuddered at the thought but he couldn't shake off the sinking feeling in his stomach. Not when Chanyeol was staring at him from his table like he could see right through him.
