Today was a beautiful day on Berk, just perfect for a wedding and that was just what was going to happen. The wedding of Chief Hiccup Haddock and Fearless Astrid Hofferson.
The soon-to-be-married young chief was walking along the long beach muttering to himself about what he got himself into.
"Oh great, what did I do this time? I proposed to the most beautiful Viking on Berk, and I am only 21, I have only been chief for a year and now I'm getting married!" He sighed to himself and continued pacing along the beach.
"Hiccup!" Called Astrid from the other side of the beach.
"Coming!" He called back.
As Hiccup walked over he saw that more decorations had been put up, and he walked up to Astrid and gave her a little smile.
"Hiccup, you look like your in deep thought."
"Yeah, I guess I am..."
"Well then, I guess we should go check on the cake?" Astrid asked.
"Why not?" Hiccup Replied.
So hand in hand they walked back to the village and went to one of the Viking houses to check on the cake.
"Arda? Are you there?!" Astrid called.
Arda peeked out from behind the counter of her kitchen, and walked over to great them.
"Oh hello, Astrid, Hiccup." She said looking them both in the eyes.
"We just came to check on the cake, so how's it going?" Asked Astrid.
"Oh just fine! I have Dreck helping me, he is becoming quite a fine cook you know." Arda replied.
Hiccup smiled, he had known Dreck since he was little, and Arda was like a mother to Hiccup, since he didn't have a mother growing up.
"You and Dreck are doing a wonderful job with the cake." Hiccup said.
And Hiccup took Astrid's hand and walked back to his house where his mother, Valka was working on Astrid's dress, the dress was Astrid's mother's dress, but it needed a bit of work because it was a bit ripped up, so Valka volunteered to fix it up a bit, and the dress was looking amazing!
"Wow mom, you have really out done yourself this time!" Hiccup Said.
"Yes, I have to agree with Hiccup it is amazing Mrs. Valka." Astrid said
"Hiccup your father would of loved to see this day." Valka looked at her son with tears in her eyes.
Hiccup smiled slightly at the mention of his father.
"I'm going up to my room to polish my armor." He said gesturing to the stairs.
And he walked up to his room.
