Scott
Everything is ready now. The date will be perfect. I can't wait to tell Ella! Speaking of her, I'm on my way to the hospital to visit her. When I arrive there, the receptionist lets me straight through. He knows why I'm here, I come here everyday!
Before I go too far, he calls to me:
"Scott, wait a second!"
"Yeah..." I walk back towards his desk.
"It's good news today." He gave me a sweet smile.
"Thank you so much, Adam. Thanks for keeping an eye on her."
"No problem."I smile back at him. Somehow, I feel like he's a safe person. A guy that would be an awesome friend. Any girl he dates would be lucky.
I make my way to Room 10.
I open the door.
"SCOTT! You actually came!"
"Of course, Ella. I love you more than anyone else in the world."Ella smiled so hard and I walked over to her bed. I needed to kiss her so much. The sunlight from the outside was shining on her face and making her look like a bright shining star in the night sky. She was a star to me. The brightest star of them all, and I was so lucky to have her share her brightness with me. She had fully recovered since I last saw her. No marks on her face and arms, and she seemed much stronger than she was before.
"What's wrong? Is there something on my face?" she asked innocently, not knowing what was going on in my mind.
"Yeah, there is..." She immediately touched her face looking for an imperfection. "...a very beautiful face."
"DONT DO THAT SCOTT I HATE YOU!" She shouted.
"Calm down, you'll disturb other patients," I leaned in closer to her face.
"Can I please kiss you?" I blurted out without thinking.
"Yes, kiss me Scott, kiss me like you never have before!"I was amazed at her response and put my lips on hers without even thinking. The kiss went on forever, but it felt like 10 seconds and I was sad when she let go of me.
She looked deeply into my eyes and she spoke; "Scott, I love you. Thank you for coming into my life."
"Ella, I love you too." We touched lips and I saw the door open out of the corner of my eye.It was Adam?!
I broke the kiss and by the time I looked in his direction, he had gone.
"Is everything alright?" Ella asked me with a confused face.I wanted to go and run after Adam, and explain, even though I don't owe him an explanation.
"Yes, everything is fine."
It wasn't.
