Zero--New Couple

"Dating?" I shouted at Maya and Lucas as he had his arm around her waist.

"Yeah." Maya said with a smile. I just couldn't believe it, no I don't like him he's like a brother but I just wish she would of told me she liked him.

"But-But...we're suppose to take on the world." I said poking out my bottom lip.

"And we will, just with Lucas by my side." She said grabbing ahold of my hands.

"Hey...maybe you can take it on with Farkle, we can have a little double date action going on." She said and I cringed at his name, yeah we had history but never again will we date.

"Or Zay." Lucas said followed by a chuckle, I didn't have anything against him...it's just we never talk.

I sigh and she hugs me, "This isn't the end Riles." she said and I nodded.

"I sure hope not." I said and she released the hug and looked at me.

"It's not." She said and I nodded. I then glared at Lucas and went to my locker. I know she said that but I have this feeling that our friendship will drift.

I sigh and open my locker, "Hey Riley." I hear beside me making me close my locker and see who that was.

"Hi Zay." I say back and he frowns.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked me.

"Nothing, why would you assume that?" I asked.

"Because I know you, even though we hardly talked I've taken mental notes on you. Something's bothering you...what is it?" He asked.

"Um well, Lucas and Maya are dating." I mumble.

"Oh and your scared he's going to take her away from you." He said and I was shocked, usually a person would guess I liked Lucas.

"Yeah." I said and he nodded.

"It's okay, I thought too...I thought I would lose Lucas. Well I know I will, their too in like." He said and I nodded in agreement.

"Who knows who'll take on the world with me now." I say looking down, he places his hand on my shoulder making me look up at him.

"Don't worry, everything happens for a reason." He said and I nodded.

And what did you know...everything did happen for a reason because if it wasn't for Maya and Lucas, I wouldn't of found love.

Alright that's the prologue. A few things as usual:::

-This is a Zayley story
-This story will not be a basic sappy story, it will be filled with drama, comedy, romance, etc etc.
-I try to update a lot but I do have a life behind wattpad.
