"Pipirmahan ko na ba?"
I stared blankly at the neatly arranged papers on my desk. Andy, my personal assistant, left them before she went home. It felt, for an unknown reason, weird to see those pieces of papers on top of my table. Never had I imagined myself to be in this position, in front of these papers, waiting for me to sign them and forever change my life.
I wanted to read whatever was written on the papers, although I had read it a million times before it was finalized. But somehow, this time, it scared me.
"Pinirmahan na kaya niya?"

"There you have it, Mr. Faulkerson. All you need to do now is sign them."
I smiled and thanked my lawyer as he headed out. It was frightening-to say the least. Holding the folder that held everything was frightening.
Gently putting the folder on the coffee table, I stood up and looked for my phone. I opened my contacts; her name was still on the top of the long list.

I clicked her name to send a message.

And God, did it scare the hell out of him to wait for her response.
