Lyrics pov.
"Melody come on its time to play" I exclaim while jumping on my best friends bed across the room.
"I don't want to" she whines.
I then get off of her and run to our closet and grab my little blue dress. I put it on and grab the matching pink one to throw at her as I walk toward the door.
"What was that for?" She asks .
"Your Mom said she was making biscuits and gravy" , I reply. I wait two minuets for her to come out before we both walk down the stairs to the dining room where her family is. Yes I live with my best friends family because my mom had passed away in a building collapse when I was three and my dad followed not long after. At the time I was five. So I have had many hard years without them. Thankfully my Melody ' s parents took me in and have raised me ever since.
"Surprise!!! " every one yells as we walk in. I can't believe I forgot our 10th birthday! I smile and look at Melody before throwing my arms around her as we both yell and jump around like the crazy kids we are.
Later that night after we opened all of our gifts and had our party, it was time for bed and we were getting read our favorite book. Its about a little girl who grow up in a normal home, but when she turns 16 she finds out that she is a supernatural princess and has to help all races survive a coming evil. It's super exciting.
