My name is Shaine. My father and I just moved from Seattle, Washington, to this place called Beacon Hills, California. We drove the whole way, which is about a 18 hour drive, minus all the stops that we took.

The night we got there, I just unpacked and got ready for my first day of school at this new school. I was super excited to go to Beacon Hills High School because they had a lacrosse team, which is a sport that I loved. I used to play lacrosse with my mom, before she passed away from frontotemporal dementia. That is a type of disease that causes areas of the brain to shrink. I used to play lacrosse to forget about everything that was bothering me, while still enjoying time I spent with my mom. It was a sport where I could let all my anger out on the field. If I ever had any struggles with anything, and I would take out all my anger into the game.

Ever since my mom died, I had more "explosion issues". I was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder, which pretty much means that I have severe anger issues. When I was diagnosed with I.E.D. They gave me some medicine, but sadly I don't take it because it makes me to tired to play lacrosse. But when I play, all my aggression comes out to make me play really well.

At the new place, I was starting to unpack some boxes, when I found my old lacrosse stick. I had so many great memories with it. There were so many signatures on it from, such as: Ryan Boyle, Gary Gait, and Jimmy Lewis. I used to go to so many great games with my mom. I always brought my stick to the games and see if I could get any signatures. The staff is full of signatures from all the games we went to, and since I had so many great memories with my mom, I decided that I should hang that stick right above my bed frame.

After I finished putting up the rest of my trophies and hanging up the rest of my posters and pictures in my room, I thought that I should get a good sleep, since tomorrow was going to be my first day at this school. Even though it was January, and they already are halfway through their school year, I still have to go to school so I'm not held back a year and so I can practice my lacrosse and try out for the team.
