CHAPTER 2As I approach the bridge, I don't see anyone there. Of corse, it was just some guy playing a trick on me... Like always. I decide to just go home, but right before I turn around, I see someone. Their back is against the wall of the bridge, and their arms are crossed. I come up the the start of the bridge and this guy looks at me.
"Christina?" He says.
My heart suddenly skips a beat. He has blond hair, and sparkling blue eyes. He has on a gray T-shirt and a dark blue jacket. Blue jeans, and what look like Brooks. My mind automatically whispers in my ear
"He's perfect."
Ok pause for a sec. I've never been a romance kind of girl. I've always thought boyfriends were a waste of time. But this, this was different. I don't even know the guy and I already have a crush on him.
Well I guess I can cross "Fall in love with a random stranger on the street" off my bucket list.
As I try to play it cool and not give away my "new secret" I answer with a simple
"Yeah."
"Ah yes, the question girl."
"Hey, you texted me!"
"I know. I didn't think you'd show up."
"Well I'm here now."
Boy, am I glad I came.
"Good. Great even. Let's walk."
As much as I want too just ride off into the sunset with this guy, I DONT EVEN KNOW HIM. Therefore, forgive me for what I choose to do.
"Um, no way I'm walking with you unless I get info."
"Omg Christina, after all these years you think I'm a bad guy."
"Hey, anything is possi.... Wait, what do you mean "after all these years?"
"Oh come on, you don't know?"
"No, I don't! I thought you were some kind of prankster or something."
He had this really sad, sort of angry look to him now. I was so confused. Different thoughts were racing through my mind like crazy.
"I thought you were just kidding when you said you didn't know me!"
"No, sorry I really don't know."
Maybe after you see this, you'll remember."
He pulled out his phone and started searching for something.
"Here." He finally said, and held his phone out to face me.
I almost fainted.
The picture was from my fifth grade graduation. I recognize the purple dress I wore. Man, it was so pretty, it's a bummer I grew out of it. There was this guy standing next to me.
No. It couldn't be.
I looked up to Blake.
" I told you..."
"You're, you're him, your..."
"Marty."
Ah, Marty. My 5th grade crush. Wow, we'd had so much fun together. He thought we were just friends, but i wanted to be so much more. Unfortunately, he found someone else in 6th grade so i just let it go.
The only thing is that he looked so much different now. A good different, in fact a great different. He used to be so, so weird, sort of. I still liked him, but only because of his personally, not his looks. But now, well...
He's Goregeous.
"Marty? Wait, I thought you said your name was Blake???" I yelled
"That's my middle name. After I moved, I decided to go by Blake instead of Marty"
"You moved?"
"We really need to catch up. Let's walk. Will you come now that you know who I am?"
He held out his hand to me. I started to blush.
It was so humiliating.
So I did what any sensible human being would do, and I took his hand. And we walked.
