I shot my head up as I heard a voice outside the nursery. Its still dark out. I thought. I glanced over my shoulder. Shadewhisker, my mother, was still curled up and asleep. Swiftkit and Riverkit were still asleep. I padded quietly out of the den, and looked around the clearing. Cloudheart was sitting by the gorse tunnel, on night watch. Suddenly, a tabby blur flasked past through a bush. Then, I saw dark amber eyes starting deeply at me.
"Hello?" I called, aware that cloudheart had turned towards me. "Is something wrong, Jaykit?" I heard cloud heart say. I didn't respond, but flicked my tail for him to come forward. He padded slowly towards me, and asked again, "are you okay?" I stay quiet once more, pointing my tail towards the bush with the eyes. Cloudheart stay staring, but didn't know what to say. I glanced at his eyes, they were clouded with confusion. He couldn't see him!
